Grilled ham and cheese was fantastic. Nice thick ham!!! Wife had the chili dog especially liked that it was cut in half and grilled then chili added!!! Our kid devoured the grilled cheese and my mom loved the frito pie!!! Whenever we are in the area we will stop in again!! Staff very accommodating and friendly!!!!
The breakfast spot had its charm, with a friendly and adorable elderly woman serving the tables, adding a warm, homely touch to the experience. The food was enjoyable and well-prepared. However, the worn-out and bent silverware, old cups detracted from the overall experience, leaving room for improvement in maintaining the dining essentials.
We have been frequent customers of the Courtesy Diner for many many years. The best "hole-in-the-wall" diner in St. Louis, IMHO. Our go-to one was on S. Kingshighway, but that one has since closed. Over the years, my wife and I have tried pretty much all that they have to offer on the menu. My favorite has always been the Slinger. Such a strange combination of flavors, but so tasty!
