Just really bad overall. Service, options, ambiance, cleanliness...all lacking. We ate there between youth soccer games (4 adults, 3 kids) and everyone was disappointed. We got there about 15 mins before the doors opened and there were a few other customers also waiting. While standing there, it was easy to notice the very high weeds that have become part of the land scape, not just in front but around the entire building and fence line. No care given at all. While we waited, we could see the staff inside just standing there looking back at us. It was weird. We were seated on the patio. Again, no care taken to beautify the fence line, patio furniture, bar area, open kitchen area. They were short staffed and the staff they did have didn't seem like they were excited to be there. Menus were shabby looking. Food took an abnormally long time to come out and it was easy stuff like a turkey wrap and chips. The food was boring and regular. So disappointing. This place used to be amazing. Years ago this place was a destination for bike riders, dog walkers, afternoon drinkers. They had live music. The place was a total vibe. Fun for families, awesome bartenders, always busy and always worth the wait.

After years of running by this place, I finally got a group of friends and family to go with me to have some appetizers and drinks.First, everything was delicious and not over priced! The pretzel bites were a little too good and we had to order more.Next, our bartender Taylor was super personable and kept on top of our table, despite having a decently full bar. Finally, overlooking mallard lake is a beautiful backdrop to finish off the evening.Definitely worth checking out this gem, especially if you’re a CC lake junkie like me!!

STL best kept secret…Right on the lake, with patio and inside seating.Great food and great service.Plenty of choices in wraps, burgers and sandwiches. Kids menu available. And desert for sweet tooth.Diablo burger and club wrap were well prepared. Kids enjoyed chicken strips and Ham & Swiss sandwich.

Im so confused. last year and years past I come so often when I do my trips along the katie trail biking and loop the lake or after a good paddle board/fishing trip.... I like the food here a lot. and the patio is spacious. the drinks are friendly for a casual occasion. I've brought family AND friends alike and not had a bad experience. I'm still....confused by these other reviewers. to be fair, I've NEVER sat inside and I don't think I've brought my son. I don't know why though... its just like bringing a child to Bar louie to me... but I still COULD. The patio offers umbrellas and is somewhat lakeside. Not many pub-casual venues to still impress your friends with a good hangout that I can think of in the area with a field, lake, and trails connected to it? Their sweet potato fries and salads are good, my friend likes the burgers...I'm happy they're still here -our waiters and waitresses have always been kind

We came here during our daughters soccer tournament and the service was awesome. They were a little overwhelmed with how busy they were, but their attitudes, food, and drink were amazing. Looking forward to the next tournament in St. Louis near here so we can visit again.

Great place to eat, but often not open (without warning). Sign says open, people there when you ride past, Facebook page says open, you go there and in the lobby a sign says closed for a private event.

The food was very dry, or drinks were in plastic disposable cups, the lights were off, and it was very cold. The entire place looks very run down.

The food was "ok", there was NO service to speak of. Our group had a reservation for 30. The date was made one month prior to our luncheon. There was one person working the entire place. There was no table service, so we had to wait in line at the bar to order lunch. A small soda in a thin plastic, throwaway cup, and a small burger is $19.50. I never saw a receipt. I felt bad for the order taker/bartender, not her fault. The restaurant was not prepared.

First let me say they are not short staffed, just lazy waitresses that was using that for a excuse. Food was way over priced and wasn't anything to brag about. The worst is the maintenance of the building including the appearance when you look at the front of the building and then the lack of care to make the outdoor seating area enjoyable or comfortable. Inside filth was hidden very well by extremely low lighting keeping the atmosphere as dark as the dirt piled up in the bar area. Will never spend my hard earned money there again.

The waitresses were very attentive and willing to go the extra mile. If you have not had a Long Island ice tea there you are missing out. What a great and relaxing atmosphere!
