Love this place! Very cool architecture. Great atmosphere --cozy and relaxed. Tried a few of the appetizers and they were excellent (herbed feta dip, beer cheese fries). Live music was great. What a fun, unique alternative to a generic bar.

I love the ambiance here. I love the building, the fireplace, the bar, the location. I want to love the food but I don't. It is expensive and mediocre. This is my second time ordering food and being disappointed. Who deep fries potato cakes? Not my Momma, but Das Bevo does. These are fried hockey pucks, not potato pancakes. Every single food item I have ever ordered from here has been mediocre.
That said, the Santa experience is top notch. Location is beautiful and I may make this my yearly visit to Das Bevo because the Christmas pictures are really worth it. I will try ordering something different next time and I will expect it to be mediocre.
I wish they would hire a chef to create a menu worth the prices, the ambiance and the history of this location.
