Our service and food were great. My Sicilian Steak was nicely cooked. Highly recommend this restaurant.
This time I was a little disappointed. The food was fine, but the service was very poor and chaotic.
The food was good. Old school Italian decor. Very poor service. Waited a lot for everything!
The staff work as a team, which was evident and something I appreciate. The service was impeccable, the wine list impressive and the food was fantastic! You have to try the special cake when you go. It is divine!!
Very disappointed this time. $50 steak ordered medium rare came medium, cut of meat was subpar, vein of gristle right in the middle of the cut, pizza had tomato slices on it , not quite sure why, never happened before, and our server definitely had an attitude, bordering on rude. Definitely off our list.
Food was great, the waiter seemed a little annoyed with our group and overall felt like he was trying to avoid our table towards the end of our meal.

Loved the service, ambiance and value. The calamari appetizer was terrible - rubbery and tasteless. The main courses were ok. For Clayton area (and compared to places on the Hill), they need to up their game.
The food is consistently great. The staff is friendly and experienced. Sometimes we go just to see Val.
Food was exquisite. Cannelloni is some of the best in STL. My friend loved the bolognese. Waiter was ok but not friendly. Room was exceptionally dark for 6 pm.
We celebrated our 40 th anniversary last week. We also celebrated our 1 st anniversary at their restaurant on the hill. Wow how time flies. To manage a consistent product every evening over a long time period is a credit to Dominic, Jackie and the entire crew. It's so hard to be good every night. The food is original recipe.... not all the fad items. Quality ingredients prepared with care by people you enjoy their careers. Appetizers were delicious....salads were chilled an looked terrific on the plates....dinners were served hot from the kitchen..... the servers knew where the correct item was to be served. No need to ask... who gets this item. Plates were removed when finished by an attentive assistant and water glasses were filled several times. Server knew the menu well and made solid recommendations. What could have been better..... well after dinner the owner stopped by the table to say hello and check on our experience.... that made it perfect! We also got to say hello to his wife Jackie. Treat yourself to an original Italian meal in Clayton. Thank you Amy and Marvin for a wonderful evening.

We love the food. But the service was beyond slow. Our server had too many tables. The bar and the kitchen must have been overwhelmed. It was a Saturday. And it took so long - we saw a table of six get up and leave before their cocktails arrived. And the restaurant was loud.
Perhaps they should should spread out seating times.

The food is excellent. However, they changed the ice tea to a bit of a sweet tea. Not brewing their own. My husband can only have unsweetened ice tea. Also if you get there before 6 when the valet begins you have to park on the street.
Ordered the linguini with seafood. I make this dish occasionally at home. I know how to make it great and how to make it not so great. This one was great. The flavor was definitely derived from the seafood and shellfish, the pasta was perfect and the seafood itself was perfect which means not over cooked. But it’s Dominic’s! Of course it would be perfect.

My husband and I both had the Halibut special, and he also had a small salad. We both said we enjoyed the best meals of our lives, for our second time at Dominic's . We were so full that we did not get dessert, so maybe the next time! This is a FABULOUS restaurant, and though it was very full, our service was great. It's wonderful that they take reservations.
