I stopped by yesterday for lunch and was greeted by a super friendly server who let us choose our seats and took care of us, he even pointed out that our lunch special included a miso soup which I was already planning on buying. We were fortunate enough to beat the rush it seems because the dining room filled up pretty quickly and I think our server may have been by himself. Our food came out quickly though and was delicious so we will definitely be back.

I always come to this location to eat when I’m on break, the owner is so kind! He’s always in the kitchen or waiting tables and I love that. Today I had the pleasure of being waited on by Miaa, she did an amazing job and the food was delicious! 10/10.

I stopped in for happy hour after a stressful day at work, just looking to relax a bit. There were only four of us in the restaurant, but it took forever for anyone to take my order. The two servers and the hostess seemed more interested in chatting by the drink machine than checking on guests.

My server was nice enough but clearly not into it, and she brought my check without asking if I wanted anything else. It felt like I was being rushed out. Not a terrible experience because my sushi was great this time, but definitely disappointing service. This place could be so much better with a little more attention to customers.

I stopped in for lunch today and had a great experience. While you can tell that the storefront has seen some better days, it was clear to me that the staff really cares about its presentation and customer experience. My waitress was phenomenal, and even the manager repeatedly checked on my table throughout my service. I ordered three rolls (and kinda regret not leaving room for desert because their raspberry cheesecake roll looked delish!), and everything tasted super fresh.

As an aside, while my visit may not epitomize the typical staff experience at this location, I want to give a huge shout out to the manager on duty today, 9/30. While the waitress took care of things, he jumped in and bussed, prepped, and cleaned tables. When the waitress thanked him, he thanked her back for what she was busy doing. You don't see that often!

It’s not very often you can say that your entire meal was flawless, but this place was absolutely flawless! You might look at the Chilean Sea Bass and think “I’m not paying $45 for that!” Your loss!! I have never tasted anything as good as that sea bass. It melts in your mouth! I would rank them even higher if it was possible! Also, try that purple haze sake. That’s the best flavored sake I’ve ever had!

Visiting my SLU student and was excited to go here for dinner. We ordered apps and drinks but then waited 20 mins for the waiter to come back to order dinner. We had 4 diners and all of our meals came separately. My daughter's shrimp was first, then my wife & son's sushi came by the time my daughter finished her dinner. I had ordered the chimichurri steak and it still had not arrived by the time my wife & son finished their sushi. Waited about 30 more mins after they finished their dinner and finally was able to flag down the waiter to ask if he could just have my dinner in a to go container. No apologies, no comments or anything, just a head nod. Mind you there were less than 10 tables of people in the restaurant so they weren't busy, yet our waiter only stopped by when dropping off food. No check ups, no refills. I am still sitting here now waiting on my dinner in a to go container which I ordered nearly an hour ago.
