Some of the best chicken I've ever had. Definitely the best popcorn chicken I've ever had. Sprouts are very good, but a touch moist. Fries could use a touch more crisping or a more narrow cut, but flavor/spice mix was good.
Buffalo and Ranch were both good. BBQ is probably good for those that like sweet BBQ (most STLisians). Would love a spicier buffalo, but again, my tastes likely vary from the target audience.
I'll definitely be back.

The first thing you see is that beautiful mural on the side of the building! 🌈 The vibe inside is cool with a large bar and indoor and outdoor dining. The food menu is small but packs a punch. The delicious chicken bites come small or large and we opted for fries (one size only). I suggest sharing the fries since there are so many. I prefer skinny fries myself, but loved the homemade ranch to dip them in. They offer Jarritos sodas and Sugarwitch ice cream sandwiches, which I will try next time. I love the Grove for many reasons, but add Eat Duckbill to the list!

As a person with Celiac visiting your town I felt so welcome and safe- and it was a huge treat to eat an entire plate of yummy fried goodness that was safely prepared for someone like me.
But the awesomeness didn’t stop there- the friendly bartender shared more Celiac safe local hotspots with us as well!

Grant, the owner and chef, seriously has figured out some real magic here. I got the popcorn chicken, fries, and caramelized brussel sprouts with buffalo and ranch.
EVERYTHING was so good!! I don't know the secret, but the chicken was perfectly tender, but had the perfect crispy crunchy outside. Chicken came with pickles that were definitely made in house and so yummy. The buffalo and ranch are also clearly made in house and they're amazing!! His take on the buffalo sauce is REALLY unique - it's got the typical hot sauce vibe you'd expect but there's a sweet and complex twist to it that makes it stand out AND keeps you wanting more! The ranch is nice and thick and definitely does not have any of that hidden valley. There were definitely some complex umami magic happening with the brussel sprouts too. I normally don't like them, but they looked so good in pictures and reviews I had to give them a shot and I'm glad I did!!
Amaaazing. Do not miss out on some chicken and beers here.
