While waiting to be seated at another restaurant, our family was walking up and down Locust to kill time. We stopped on a bench, and one of the owners, Asad, came out of The Egg After Dark and greeted us. He warmly welcomed us into his restaurant, and offered us waters while we waited to be sat at another restaurant. He also overheard my daughter complaining about being hungry and provided us a square of cornbread for my youngest, and a complimentary pizza he was trialing before...
The food was delicious and the owner was super friendly. He brought out a flatbread pizza for us to try that hasn't even been added to the menu yet. They recently extended their hours into the evening so it was pretty quiet when my husband and I went there, but I don't expect it to stay that way for long because this place is a gem!
