We had incredibly good time at this restaurant. The menu was very unique and full of clever mashups. The one thing that was different that we weren’t expecting is that soda is all via cans so it’s not unlimited refills. Our server was great. The food was amazing. Will come again.

Unfortunately the service was slow and I did not like what I ordered. My glass was also dirty.

TL:DR food was good but staff were very rude and kind of shady when I accidentally left my phone there.
We ate at Egg Midtown this weekend for my husbands birthday. At some point my purse took a nose dive and a bunch of its contents spilled out. I thought I had managed to place everything back inside but I somehow missed grabbing my work phone. (Unfortunately I have to carry a lot of stuff for work. It’s my own fault for not double and triple checking that my work phone was safely placed back in my purse.)
After tearing apart my house and vehicle, it was apparent that it was most likely at the restaurant. I called them first thing this morning. The first woman I talked to was nice and said, “Yes. We have it here.” Then she passed the phone off to I’m assuming a manager. I’m not sure. He never identified himself.
I explained my reason for calling and he said, “We don’t have your phone.”
I said, “What?! The lady before you said you guys have it.”
He shouted at me, “We don’t have your phone! She NEVER said that! She must’ve misheard you because WE DON’T HAVE YOUR PHONE.”
I had the phone on speakerphone the whole time so my husband can back me up that I wasn’t being crazy or misremembering. She definitely said that they had my phone. Either way even if she did misspeak, perhaps she couldn’t hear me well and misunderstood what I had asked. Either way, you certainly don’t snap on someone who’s just trying to track down their phone.
I waited tables for 5+ years in my past. I never would snap at someone like that. Why?? It was so weird. I certainly try to give everyone some grace but that interaction was just rude and bizarre.
I tell him which booth we sat at. I asked him if he’d double check it. I gave him my name and my phone number in case he or anyone else finds it. He assures that it’s probably not there but he’ll let me know if he finds it.
I call my work IT dept to try to locate the location of the phone. Thankfully they could track it. It was located at the address of Egg Midtown.
I call my work phone over and over and over. I can tell the battery isn’t dead. Finally after 10-15 minutes nonstop calling, someone answers. They wouldn’t identify themselves. It kind of sounded like the same person as the first rude guy, but maybe it wasn’t. They tell me they’re an employee at Egg and asked if I know who’s phone it is. (Umm, probably that lady’s phone that called you 20 minutes ago looking for a lost phone.) They tell me they’ll save it for me at the bar.
I go in and tell the bartender who I am and that I’m there to get my phone. She says ok. Then proceeds to make 3 drinks for other people. Doesn’t get me my phone. Eventually a male employee walks over to get some stuff from behind the bar. I tell him, “Hi. I’m here to get my phone. Can you help me?” He gives me my phone. It was actually right in front of where I was standing on the other side of the bar.
It’s such a shame. Our breakfast was great the other morning but this weird, rude, kind of shady seeming interaction will spoil that other memory.

Great food, wonderful staff, and a perfect late-night vibe. Not much more to ask from a restaurant.

Food was good! Definitely worth for a nice little sit down breakfast. Managing partner was a cool dude and we told him we were there for a twenty one pilots concert. He asked about a favorite song and went and turned it on for us. Definitely worth!

Really enjoyed our breakfast at the bar here! Great food menu and full varied bar. Super good service. Barbacoa taco and pork belly cornbread benedict were great 🔥

This place is fantastic! Great atmosphere, very inviting and comfortable! The food was excellent... we ordered the chakchouka, El Cerdo hash, French toast and a side of cornbread and every dish was delicious. The hash had so much flavor, and a lot of meat! That meat was so tasty and cooked perfectly. The chakchouka was delicious, tons of flavor and very, very filling. The portions are large but that is NOT a complaint! The French toast was absolutely delicious as well. The cornbread which i just wanted to try a bit of did not last long. It was so dense and flavorful and made better by the honey butter spread served along side it. This place is a great spot. The service was quick, friendly and the place is clean and just so inviting and comfortable. Can't wait to go back. You have to try this place.

Overall, this was a good experience. The food was good, no complaints there, but it wasn't 5 star good. The flavors were simple. The service was slower but not too slow. The atmosphere was fine if a little tight.

Great local breakfast place with a Mexican twist. Street parking so we parked about a block away.
The food was great, and the drinks were good.
Technically this place is ADA compliant, however, if you were in a chair, it would be a little difficult to navigate in between the tables. Additionally, they do have a ramp where you would use a secondary door, there were chairs, a ladder and something else that seemed to be stored there which is problematic. Hopefully they move that so that our friends in chairs can also enjoy.

i got a matcha latte w/ vanilla & the cornbread benedict w/ pork belly.
the matcha latte was good, i always look to see if places have matcha and was happy to see they had it. i would have preferred the matcha to be a bit more green, i like my matcha a little stronger but that’s okay.
the food was good. especially the pork belly. i’m not a big fan of pork, and the idea of the dish was interesting so i got it.
it was very unique, like other items on the menu.
but their pork belly was amazing!! i would definitely order the pork belly by itself and just have that for breakfast. the eggs were perfectly runny too. i would have liked some more hollandaise though.
the atmosphere was very nice, i loved how clean and cozy the inside looked. i felt very welcome and the service was good.
would definitely recommend to people wanting to try something new for breakfast/brunch!!
this was my first time there, would 100% go back. im lucky this restaurant is pretty close to my school campus too.
