Love this place! The burrito is amazing! This is my favorite Mexican restaurant that I’ve had in STL (and I’ve had a lot)!

El Mexiquense is exactly what it says it is. It is a night out in Mexico. The interior design is very authentic and menu is equally authentic. I had the torta, and the bolero bread was fantastic. My wife had the enchiladas suizas. Both dishes were excellent and priced well. The curtido is made with habaneros, you have been warned.
To the people that are complaining about not having Tex- Mex style cuisine, I am sorry that this is not your restaurant. If you cannot speak conversationally, use google translate. The language barrier should not be a reason to not enjoy a different culture.
Thank you to the team there for an excellent meal.

The first time we tried El Mexiquense was when we ordered from Doordash. We enjoyed the food so much that we said we had to go to the restaurant and try it. Without fail the food was hot and full of flavor! Service was good, atmosphere was nice, decor had a theme. I definitely enjoyed the Reggaeton they were playing!
Went for the first time last night and the food was amazing. I had the Mar y Tierra and my fiance had the chimi. Portions were huge. The verde salsa has some serious kick to it! Definitely will be returning.
Really good, authentic, and reasdnably priced.
I love this place. The food is excellent. The fajitas were loaded. Most of the people there are Hispanic. Kind of a hole in the wall place. A local favorite. My wife says they have the best beans and rice in the United States.
We went there for my grandson's 16th birthday 🎂. It was very nice !!

I have not had anything here that was bad, some of the best salsa I've ever had in my life, and this is coming from somebody that does not like weak salsa. Their chimichangas are phenomenal, carne asada is really good, not sure if they make their own chips or not but it does seem like it. However they cook or flavor their chicken it is great here. It is a blend of Mexican and I believe Honduran food, thank goodness it is not an Americanized version of Mexican food, the people here are phenomenal as well, and as far as I know they all speak Spanish which is really fun to speak with them.
Parking: Depending on time of day can be either really hard or really easy to find parking, they do share a parking lot with Domino's and their own Latin grocery store.

Such a good Mexican restaurant! The salsa’s are all good, and some carry some heat. I highly recommend the chilaquiles and their fish tacos. Very authentic!
