We ordered the special sandwich and a pizza, neither disappointed! In fact, both set the bar pretty high for sandwiches and hot pizza! We felt at home and loved the Italian ambiance!

Stopped by this deli after an appointment in St. Louis and I am so happy I did. I ordered The Godfather and it was delicious! I will be back.

Such a unique deli... Was glad that my little brother and I decided to stop here for some lunch. The mufelata was awesome and was able to eat leftovers later on in the day since it was a big sandwich. I am looking forward to my next visit

We stopped in and picked up a couple of varieties of salami. Hands down, the best salami we have ever tasted.

Just okay. Bread was chewy in an annoying way, both sandwiches were very dry, the olive topping on the muffuletta was overly crunchy and hard. The meat seemed to be good quality but that was honestly the only real positives I found.

Roast Beef = Messy but good!Cod Sandwich= GOOD!Steadily busy with BOXES of sandwiches going out for Co-Worker's Lunches. Dining Room full of Construction Workers, they KNOW! I will order THE DADDY next time and there will be a next time!

Eovaldi's is hands down the best place to go for the most solid sandwiches! It's a family-run operation and it just feels like you're served a sandwich made with love. The service is spectacular, food is made to order and comes out quickly, prices are very fair, menu's got it all without being too overwhelming, you can customize if needed, and it's just good time all around. It's pretty easy to find street parking in the neighborhood, too. You get to choose the size of the sandwich -- 4.5", 6", 9", 12". There are both hot and cold options for the sandwiches, and there are actually a handful of other items on the menu like soup, salad, pizza, and pastas. You can even buy canned, cold, and frozen goods and merch to take home. They also do catering, and I'm lowkey always waiting for an excuse to order an egregious amount of sandwiches from them. I've tried the meatball sub and it's a straightforward good time. My absolute favorite, however, is their Eovaldi's special (hold the pickles and the banana peppers). It's got the perfect proportion of meats to veggies and appropriate amount of mayo. I'm always a little meh when delis slather their sandwiches in mayo or when they layer on the meats real thick and it gets too salty; this is definitely not the case here. It's genuinely so good that I'll come back for it on a daily basis. Eovaldi's is the gem of The Hill and I hope they continue to stay open making their Special forever.

Extra special is the best classic Italian deli sandwich. Period. End of story. Not that I've tried them all. But that's only because every time I want a classic Italian sandwich, 95% of the time I come here. Because I know what I'm getting and it's delicious.

Really great lunch on the Hill. Salad dressing is awesome. Sandwiches all really tasty -- fully stuffed and delicious bread. Good pizza. You can tell it's great by the high volume of lunch traffic. Only wish they had a bigger space and public toilet.

If you don't visit this establishment without trying the meatball sandwich you are missing something special. Perfect. I am not even Italian.

What a great little sandwich place. Only four tables and a little bit of a line. But the service was good and the sandwiches were delicious. First off, they use great bread. A little bit crunchy and soft inside. I got the special. It had all the meats, to include thin sliced salami, mortadella, roast beef, Turkey and ham. It also had just the right amount of banana peppers and pickle. My son had the Sicilian bomber, with warm mushroom gravy and roast beef. I tried it and look forward to ordering one of my own. Also, there were multiple people who ordered the meatball sandwich while we were there. The guy in front of us had ordered it and highly recommended it. It's obviously popular and worth a try.
