Fry place review. Walking in until getting food took about 40 minutes, which is alright for a Saturday Night. However, nobody took our order for the first ten minutes. Food is priced good (<$20), but is relatively mid besides the fry plates (which slap)

The place is lovely & the food is nice. They own Gauchos is fairview heights which is my favorite location to go to, but this one is still nice as well. The seasoned rice is something you can never go wrong with ordering! Perfect for a date or dinner with the

Oscar at Farinas was a gracious host. The food was delicious, the atmosphere is lovely, and team was awesome. We had a really great social event, the event space fit 80 people comfortably and everyone enjoyed the space, meals, and drinks. 10/10 recommend!

Fantastic date night spot with a cozy atmosphere. Our drinks (Manhattan and Peach Margarita) were delicious. We went with the Fried Cassava appetizer and it was perfectly crisp and seasoned, best when fresh. The Stone grill experience was fun but messy and a bit painful from the splash back as the steaks cooked. The steaks were delicious with a great sear on them. Very buttery as well, but dried out near the end. Thinking next time I'll just have the kitchen cook it all the way instead of doing the stone grill. Fries were a bit of a letdown compared to have perfectly cooked and well seasoned the Cassava was. Service was attentive and friendly, though the wait for the check was a bit long for my liking considering there was only one other table of customers in the restaurant. Overall, a great experience; we'll be back!

This place just looked good on Yelp. We were planning to catch a game Friday and do dinner Saturday. Friday's game was rained out so we had to adjust our reservation, which could not have gone more smoothly. Pro-tip: If you're staying at the Mariott, they have the wrong phone number listed for this restaurant. We arrived about five minutes late in a monsoon, and were greeted and seated promptly. Our server, it turns out, was the owner. She was very friendly and gave us lots of background information on the menu, the area, and even the sourcing of the food. Menu was clear and any questions were answered clearly. We ordered pre-meal drinks and had a conversation about a customer who once questioned the alcohol content. An experienced bartender, I knew that's a sign of a GOOD drink. I had the peach margarita, which was excellent. A second produced perma-grin, and I may as well have been drinking Capri Sun. Drinks are excellent. Had the house dressing on the salad -- another win. Don't hesitate, it's terrific. Seems a simple vinaigrette, but it's very obvious they make it in-house, and you can taste the love. (Speaking of which, ask to see photos of the cows!)We both ordered this Milanesa, and it was delightful. Portions are FOR REAL! We could easily have shared the plate (and it would have been worth the fee). I also had a side of sweet plantains -- do this. Oh... my... gawd!!!!!! We were stuffed but ordered the tiramisu to go. It did not disappoint. We enjoyed the food in the area, but this place was BY FAR the class of the options. Side note: If you think a certain national chain actually *IS* eatin' good in the neighborhood, just go there, you won't appreciate what this place does. If you have an ounce of taste, you'll like it.

The homey feel we got from this place was unmatched! the server was super sweet and attentive and the food was del lockouts! the place was elegant as well, a perfect place for a nice romantic date or dinner with friends! They also have another location, Los Gauchos in fairview heights to check out as well!

I've been looking forward to trying out this place for a while and was glad to finally get here. The atmosphere was intimate and inviting. Definitely ideal date atmosphere. The drinks were tasty and strong, something that only happens when I prepare my own drinks. For appetizers, we had empanadas. For entree, we had ribeyes paired with french fries and platinos and maduros. As well as a side salad to start with. Be sure 2 order the raspberry vinegarate. Meal was amazing, 1 of our new go to spots!

Delicious food and drinks in a fun atmosphere is exactly what you’ll find at Fariñas! The Argentinian restaurant is perfect for a date night, night out with friends, or great spot to check out after a game. Reservations recommended! Have you ever seen anything more beautiful than this Citadelle Gin French 75! Ohhhh! Not on menu (currently) but man it was good, just ask the bar for, you'll be pleasantly surprised Fariñas is located in a prime spot on Washington Ave and is FAMOUS for their stone grilled steaks. I mean these things are mouthwatering. The people and service is fantastic and the ambiance is perfect for when you are wanting to treat yourself to a great steak or chill on a Wednesday night party of 1.
