**Cash Discount**Fergie's is a neighborhood staple that we're lucky to have around. The place is popular with an older crowd, so even if you try to get ahead of them and eat dinner at 4:30, the place is likely already busy. All the staff is pleasant, courteous, and takes care of their customers.I don't know about much else here other than the fried chicken. It's some of the best in STL hands down; half a chicken, two sides, and a roll for only $10 can't be beat, just make sure you have the time to wait... it's all cooked to order!

I've gone to Fergie's for years with my aunt, who lives across the street. It used to be a cheap little place with fast and friendly service. My aunt informed me Fergie's had changed ownership recently. We walked in and there was a brief moment where we could smell faint cigarette smoke. When I asked an older lady who came to our table why there were no prices on the menu, she snapped at me "Because it costs me $150 to change all the menus every time food prices go up!" (she could have explained it without the sass)....My aunt and spouse looked at me and said "wow, she was rude, do you want to leave?" I said no, maybe everyone asks her and she's sick of hearing it, I'll deal with it.We waited 1 hour for food. The kitchen had 1-2 people cooking and servers seemed to rotate so we couldn't figure out what took so long; there's not that many tables in there. The fried shrimp was very good, tender and not over done. I had to add extra ketchup to the cocktail sauce as the horseradish was overwhelming and made my nose burn - we eat spicy food every day but it was too much.We all tasted my aunt's spaghetti and it was OK but somewhat bland. The onion rings were swimming in grease, not crispy at all, but mushy. (wish I had taken a photo)I informed my aunt "sorry, but I'm not eating here again", she replied she wasn't either. Very expensive now for a small hole-in-the-wall type diner with no speakable decor or atmosphere, imo.Except for the older lady, all the other servers were very kind.

Very good food, home style cooking, had alot of people into eat service was good and staff was friendly and prompt restaurant was clean but the women's bathroom was dirty and stunk. And the seating to sit down for table service was cramped but they do watch sports so good place good food and decent prices definitely recommendParking: Not enough spotsWheelchair accessibility: Has this feature

The food was ok. We ordered the chicken which was over salted and it took 50 minutes after ordering to get it to our table. The ambiance is definitely bar like and smells of dirty dishrags. Just couldn't get that smell out of our noses. Half the staff that waited on us was pleasant, however the waitress was a little rude, did not care for her. A group that came in about 15 minutes after us was served before us. That did irritate me a bit. The waitress must have walked by our table a half dozen times or so and never cleared our salad plates. They have very small tables and we finally moved our plates to the table next to ours after the customers there left just to get them out of our way. When we asked about the long wait the waitress got snippy and we waited another 10 minutes for our food. We were finally served after a 50 minute wait. There was a party that came in about 30 minutes after us, and they seemed to be more concerned with them than us. The gentleman that waited on us was very nice and apologetic for our wait. Probably the nicest thing I can say about the place. Don't think I will be going back to dine in. I have heard a lot of good things about the place so maybe it was an off day for them. Maybe we'll try to pick up order the next time.

Terrible Experience -The Handicap Parking leaves no room around the vehicles to provide easy access to the door. The moment you open the door and the entire place reeks of cigarette smoke. When delievering our drinks the waitress put her chest in my face and reached across the entire table to give the person next to me a drink. The food was not nearly hot enough or high enough quality to have taken 45 min to be delievered. The biggest issue there was a ROACH crawling up the casino machine behind me!!!! I let the waitstaff know and the reply was a casual "Sorry about that."If it wasn't because it was where my aunt picked a celebrate her birthday dinner. I would have gotten up and walked out the minute I saw the roach.I will absolutely not be back

We haven't been here in years. Enjoyed the nostalgic bar/food atmosphere of the south St. Louis area from years ago, where everyone was friendly and talked with one another. I think we will make it a regular stop.
