Freddie G's Chicken and Waffle

Was excited to try this place but pulled up to it closed and boarded up. ?

Great food (though the crispness and seasoning on my potatoes varies wildly visit to visit), good portions and prices, WILD wait times. Expect to wait at least 45 minutes. Beautiful restaurant and friendly staff. Just make sure you have time to kill before visiting.

I've tried going to Freddie Gs twice. Both times on a Saturday, both times at opening. I got there both times when the website said they were open. Both times, no lights on, and no one inside. I waited around for a while both times. I did a low review because I would like to try their food but I can't get in. Online, the food looks good.

This place has been on my bucket list for a while and finally visited and it not worth the hype. Food was ok, chicken was hot waffles was ice cold, lemonade was hot and melted the few cubes of ice I was given. They were out of steak, syrup, hot sauce, soap and paper towels. I don’t ever have to eat there again. Also waited hour and my party of 2 were the only one there.

The food was great. The wait was……… TWO HOURS. Literally! and i don’t know if they were under staffed but Lawd it wasn’t worth the wait.The waiter with the grey long weave had an attitude and didn’t know how to handle a full table. She rolled her eyes, each time she walked away because she forgot something. She had us pass out the food and receipts. She didn’t apologize for the wait, she lets us place our orders and failed to mention, most of their food was gone. No steak, no sausage and no bacon. After saying we will substitute the bacon since it’s no sausage. Only to comeback and say oh we ran out of bacon too. So we all basically had to order chicken and waffles or tenders.How do you run out of all that food and brunch just started. Although the food was good I will never return! Service is everything and you guys are very poor at that! Freddy G’s, get a Freddy D!!

I wanted to try this place for a very long time and I'm so glad I did. I'm portion seem like they're small at first but it's just the right amount so you're not too full. Even though it's a sit-down restaurant the service is so fast that you can get in and out but still enjoy your meal.

Parking: The parking lot is in the back of the building. And there's always parking on the side street and in front.

Service was great. Food was delicious. Small restaurant with personality and great music. My husband and I will definitely be going back.

This has snuck and become my favorite restaurant. I come alone or I come with friends and either way I enjoy myself the same. It's relaxing laid back good music. Idk what it is about having chicken and waffles but I can't seem to get anything else! I'm completely hooked and I end up here almost every week. I can't say I ever take the time to write reviews. But today's meal was so tasty and at the right time too... I ordered over the phone but once I got there it was just me and the young staff- and unknown Freddie- of course! I was handed my food all bagged and prepared to go. But I just had to sit and jam the music was good and my phone had rang (but it was a scam caller) so, I made myself comfortable and enjoyed my meal phone silenced. I must say I felt so at peace devouring my food while the staff just vibes it was like being home with cousins over lol! I'm stuffed and happy.. hell I'm still parked outside! ??

Excellent! Had Brunch at Freddie Gs this afternoon. Ordered Chicken & Waffles. Chicken breast was cooked to savory perfection. Not under or over cooked, just perfect. Waffle was fresh, light, fluffy, and tasty. Wings were delicious as well. Great service, friendly employees. I will be back.

I try to support black business but they be dropping the ball… this used to be one of my fav spots but many things have changed. The taste of the food was ehhh. Chicken was pretty bland and the shrimp and grits as well. I’m so disappointed. We waited almost an hour to get our food. Got so full off my drink didn’t even want the food when it came out and then it wasn’t to satisfaction… won’t be back and made that very clear to management. Many improvements needed.

Food was good. Wait was not. Chicken and waffles. Owners are nice. Waited over an hour for order. My 4 friends and I supported this black owned business. Visited on a Saturday, it wasn't busy, only four people 2 already eating. We ordered and waited over an hour for our food. No napkins or silverware given. Although we ate in, we were given plastic utensils. Seemed understaffed and not prepared...

I'll be coming here every time I visit louis. The chicken was perfectly crispy, and jalapeno maple syrup was an explosion of sweet and spicy. I've never tasted anything like it. The service speed was average pace for a small business. The food is so worth the wait. Im surprised ive never heard anyone mention this spot. This place is gonna show up on a food channel tv special on day.

Yesterday was my first time going they were very slow and had only like 12 people inside the restaurant the grease was burnt which made the food taste weird they were out of stuff like paper towels and plastic cuttery they also mixed up my debit card with another customer and charge me for his food and him for mine we did make them aware and the problem was fixed right then and there I did like the waiter she was nice tho I'll give them a 3/10 for my over all experience maybe they were having a bad day at the restaurant
