Good food with decent vegetarian and vegan options, plus the best Pisco Sour I have EVER had (even better than in South America)!

frida’s has a scrumptious selection of vegan dishes, from salad to steak to cloud cake! Updated from previous review on 2026-01-17
Very friendly and prompt service with a smile along with really tasty food. The vegan steak was really great! My family and I all enjoyed our meals-
I'm moving out of the area, but I wish I could go again and I also wish I would have visited here sooner since I won't be able to go back since driving to another state to move there tomorrow!

I had the amazing opportunity to have lunch at Frida’s on Wednesday. Frida’s came highly recommended by Yah’ki, master herbalist. The food was absolutely amazing. I gather station burger with jalapeños. It felt and tasted like a burger which I hadn’t had since 2018. The atmosphere was very inviting, the host friendly and welcoming. My only disappointment is that I live so far away! I could literally eat there daily!!

Best vegan date night
YES! This is the place you’re looking for! Fantastic service from Elyse!! I wish there were more stars! Menu is ridiculously good.
Each time we are here, the food, service, and atmosphere never disappoint!
I hope you’re hitting directions in Google Maps GPS right now!
I also recommend this beautifully designed and accessorized spot for a date or with a group of friends. So lovely!

Greeted by a friendly guy named Brando as we entered the restaurant. He has a love for baseball caps and was excited to talk about that when I complimented him on his hat. 🧢 The service and hospitality provided by Elysa and Brando were hospitable, friendly and more . Elysa’s food and wine recommendations were spot on. The food is delicious and memorable. We had the angel hair pasta with shrimp and veggies, chicken sandwich, white bean soup. We highly recommend this restaurant and look forward to coming back again soon.

My husband and I, who are vegan, and his brother and wife who are not, had a delightful dinner at Frida's last week. Everything about the experience was lovely. The decor is charming and welcoming. The service was excellent. The food was absolutely delicious. My only disappointment is that we missed the deadline to order thanksgiving dinner because we were distracted by a family member's illness.

My husband and I brought our family here after our wedding. Elyse was kind and professional, and generously asked us what music station we'd like (we chose Frank Sinatra). The food was excellent, and the atmosphere was lovely. I definitely recommend Frida's. The customer service, food and experience are wonderful.

I Love Frida's! I'm not in St. Louis often enough, but when I am in town I always make time for lunch at Frida's. Today's Spicy Cabbage soup was perfection, the perfect balance of spice to delicate vegetables. Try the Taco! It's light yet filling. I loved it! Go to Frida's, the atmosphere is chill. A great place to meet up with friends or a date before the art museum.

Service: there was 1 waitress taking people’s orders. We told her we are all vegetarians, and the first thing she recommends is the “steak”. I overheard her doing the same to another table of vegetarians. Quickest way to make me lose my appetite. It was very tone deaf.
When our soup came, she took my soup spoon and recklessly stirred the soup unprompted, spilling it everywhere on the table. I was shocked, was she high? She then remarked how she doctored it up herself with jalapeños and vinegar to make it spicier. Never do I want my waitress preparing my food, that is for the chefs. Furthermore, I expect clean silverware and table before eating.
Food, Appetizers:
- I ordered “local sourdough” and olive oil, but it came out heavily toasted. Thus, the bread was dry and had trouble soaking up olive oil. Super dissapointing start, nobody should toast your bread without asking. Waste of money.
- spicy cabbage soup: unbalanced flavor due to waitress adding her own adjustments.
- spring roll: there was sesame seed somewhere in this dish, which was not listed in the menu description. After two bites, I had an allergic reaction and went to the bathroom to throw up profusely.
Black bean burger: the flavor isn’t bad! Beware that the bun is more ciabatta than brioche, another error on the menu.
Beware of this restaurant. The food lacks soul, taste, and technique and the service is bad enough to make u get up and leave.
