We stopped on a road trip through St. Louis. What a wonderland place to eat. First the prices are reasonable for the amount of food you get. Like lots of food for on the cheaper end of eating out. The drinks are strong and delicious. The service great, friendly attentive people working there. The food was very tasty and cooked perfectly, it seems very fresh! Can’t wait to stop through St. Louis again so we can stop.
I went here for dinner and ordered bistec encebollado with two sides: arroz con frijoles negros and maduros. The food was a good portion and I ended up taking leftovers home. I thought it was a nice simple restaurant that served authentic food. Would definitely want to go back and try again!
This place is the definition of a hidden gem! The food is seasoned SO well and the meat is so tender. We got the pork empanadas as an appetizer. For dinner we got the pork shoulder and steak with chimichurri. We liked the black beans and rice better than the red, but both were good. We tried the sweet plantains and tostones as our other sides &, let’s just say, we didn’t have any leftovers. We were already planning to go back before we even left!
