We stopped in for a quick drink before a show at the Fox, and had the best time at the bar. Our bartender was so lovely and made very delicious drinks!! We will stop in again for a pre show drink again for sure.

So I Ordered The Catfish Dinner . It Was A Big Ass Fried Fillet On A Bed Of Yellow Rice Served With Mixed Vegetables . It Was Okay The Rice Was A Little Hard Still (So Under Cooked I Think) But Everything Was Seasoned Well . I Ordered A Strawberry Lemon Drop From The Bar , It’s Presentation Was Great But The Drink Wasn’t As Good As It Looked . The Band Was Too Loud To Hold A Conversation Or Even Just Exchange A Word Or Two With Your Table-mate Just Within A Foot Or Two Or You . Overall I Had A Good Time And Enjoyed Myself , It Was An Enjoyable Different Experience .

Old school. Motown music provided by G Spot Band. Food was good. Don't let the tacky lights or poorly designed menu fool you - this place was great and owners and staff friendly and rightfully proud.

I went with family and friends (some of who came from out of town) to help celebrate my cousins birthday. The service from the waiter to the owner was horrible. To start, I order the seafood pasta with sauté shrimp. When the food came out it look like soup with a bunch of salad shrimp mixed in the pasta. It tasted horrible. When I attempted to talk to the waiter about the food. He said he is just the waiter he didn't cook the food and I should have talked to the owner when he came out. He was so rude. I asked him to get the owner. The owner Gary came to my table and had the nerve to say they don't sauté the shrimp just the pasta and that it came like that. Yes, that is what he said. I preceeded to explain to him that his menu stated sauté shrimp. That tells me that they were not making the food fresh and serving pre-packaged food. They tried to pass Swai for catfish. We had about three plates that the owner tooked back. The owner charged for one of the plates that was taken back, saying it was half eaten which was a straight lie. In stead of keep arguing back and forth my cousin paid for the uneaten dish. Gary the owner was very unproffessional and disrespectful cussing some of his females guest out. We left and vowed to never return. I wished I had checked his reviews prior to going to his Establishment. With all this been said. If you don't mind having processed food, false advertising on the menu, poor service and been disrespected the Gary so call fine dining may be for you. ( There is nothing fine about Gary's Fine Dining)

Recently ate there, really by accident, we had tickets for an early performance at the Fox theater, but had no reservations. Had waited at another restaurant which was clear we would not have time to eat, and catch the performance. So we went across the street to try Gary’s. The 5 of us got right in, our waiter was fantastic, he was so talented, and great with my granddaughters. Ate a wonderful meal, everyone liked their selection. We did not have time for dessert so the waiter brought us each of us over a piece of chocolate cake with our meals.😊 we will be going back to Gary’s, because of the service and food. Please give it a try if you are in the area you won’t be disappointed.

Gary’s Fine Dining has Horrible service, horrible food and owner was disrespectful and cursed a customer out. I ordered the catfish dinner and it was actually Swai. That’s false advertising with the owner trying to pass engineered fish as catfish. The pasta is prepackaged, not made from scratch and they called this Fined Dinner, more like Lying Dining. Buyer BEWARE

We found Gary’s since it’s right across the street from the Fox Theatre and we were headed to a show. We were able to be seated right away and our waiter asked if we were headed to the show. He assured us that the service would be prompt so that we would be on time for the show. We ordered a Philly Cheesesteak and a turkey burger with onion rings. The entrees were quite tasty. The onion rings were fresh and homemade.
We received complimentary cheesecake and it was delicious, served with a blueberry sauce.
Our waiter was very prompt, gregarious and enthusiastic. We will return when we visit the city again.

Have the Chicken Alfredo pasta paired with fries!!!! Amazing. Loved how welcoming the staff was. Sat at the bar with a friend & had a quick meal before a show. Bartender gave us the check as soon as our pasta came to our table. Made it on time to the show we were seeing with a happy belly.

I live in St Louis but I had visitors from out of town that wanted to try this place before their show at the Fox. I’ve been here all my life and never eaten here. This was the worst I’ve had in a long time. My friend ordered salmon she received an unidentifiable piece of fish. I questioned the server she told me it changed color be cause it had been on the grill. My pasta was disgusting, I ordered a margarita and the bartender didn’t know how to make it. I got tequila shaken with fruit punch. I just wouldn’t recommend this place, poor service. It was just an awful experience, the valet told them to go across the street they should’ve listened. Not to mention the gnats that were flying everywhere throughout the restaurant. It needs to be shut down remodeled and restaffed, it’s a very dated place.

Pam was nice and very efficient at getting us served and taken care of!The tilapia, vegetables, and rice were very good?? ?
My date and I ate here for the first time before a show at the Fox. Staff was friendly. Food took so long that we had to ask for the check when we got our food. The ribeye was way overcooked. The chicken was very dry. But not all bad. The fries were very good. My date asked twice for a soda and never received it. The price point is good for the location. Fine dining, I think not, but if you don't want to sit with a crowd of people at the restaurant next door. This is the next close option. Wouldn't mind coming back when they have a live band and trying it again.
