The I love this place, great place to grab beer and pizza at a very fair price. It only doesn't get 5 stars is the atmosphere is not very cohesive. The music often doesn't match the environment and can be loud when people just want to chill. There are a few occasions with rowdier folks causing problems.

Great pizza located in the Grove! Pie Guy is a great place to grab a slice of pizza and have a beer (it is connected to Gezellig) which makes it very convenient to have a slice and a pint! Definitely check this place out if you are looking for delicious food in a laid-back atmosphere. Pie Guy also serves vegetarian/vegan pizza by the slice options.

Good beer selection and the bar keep was helpful and informative with their locally sourced selection on tap with which we weren't familiar as we were on holiday to the area. Is nice having the pizza shop next door too so you can get some drinks and a slice of pizza all at the same location. Would definitely recommend.

Unique beer Haus celebrating local beers as well as beers from around the US as well as Europe... Friendly staff, friendly patrons...Very dog friendly ( leash required), beers are as nice variety, but little to my personal preferences for choices.Bartenders behind the bar are pretty knowledgeable

Bartender was just really mean, it kind of ruined the experience from the start. I realize that might not be a universal experience but just never felt that disrespected before by a bartender. Beer selection is fine, but you might as well just go to Rockwell or Urban Chestnut, both of which have better vibes/food and are in the area.

Such a great find! We stopped by while visiting St. Louis with our pup and we had a great time! The beers were great and LOVE the to-go fridges! Was able to taste a few and buy a couple local ones to go too! They were dog friendly and have a great pizza place connected/next door too! Perfect for a lunch and tasting in one! Definitely recommend!

I can't believe I waited this long to check out Gezzelig. It's an indecisive girl's dream come true! They have about 28 drafts. You can order three different sizes, the medium usually was half a liter, but I had mostly small pours, to be able to sample more. The first ten drafts were all sour beer, which isn't my thing, but I did sample some of my husband's and respected their quality. I sampled most of the IPAs and enjoyed them all. Then there were lagers/ hefeweizens and finally stouts/ porters. As it was 100 degrees outside, and I associate dark beer with dessert or winter, I skipped those. The bartenders were super knowledgeable and attentive. We spent most of our time chatting with Kevin, who I thanked for the Playlist he was rocking. If beer isn't your thing, the entire back wall was filled with coolers. They had more beer to choose from, as well as wine and seltzer. The best part of Gezzelig? Pie Guy pizza is attached! I've been waiting to try the pizza forever, as I went to college with the owner. New York style pizza with the best crust! I was on cloud nine! We tried the veggie and the pepperoni. The veggie pizza was superior because it had dallops of ricotta cheese and zucchini! Zucchini? On pizza? I was confused but it tasted delicious! 10/10 will return!

If you’re looking for a beer hall/brewery experience with a huge variety, this is the place. Their screens tell you when a beer is about to tap out which is awesome. One of the best to-go beer spots around (plus a discount). Great prices on beer tasters.

A great local beer hall that is adjacent to Pie guy Pizza, lots and lots of interesting beers to choose from and the bar keep is open to giving advice on a beer choice and not opposed to offering a sample. Decent prices and a mix of hi tops, regular table for 4 and bigger family style seating. My only negative is that it can be a little noisy, perhaps some sound abatement is in order. They also have a "wall o beer cooler" that has take out beer of every imaginable beer product for home consumption. Very laid back atmosphere.

Hands down one of my favorite spots I’ve discovered in STL so far. Incredible beer selection for drink-in or carry-out. The staff is great. The bartenders saw my 2-year old son playing with his super hero action figures and put an Avengers movie on the projector without us even asking. If you like beer, this is worth adding to your list of “must try”. I didn’t try the pizza, but it smelled incredible.
