Star off for complicated ordering and rest room cleanliness. Very casual friendly place. A heads up if you’re just passing through town, they close for a few hours between lunch and dinner. Also, online ordering can be glitchy, so you may want to call and confirm that they got your order, no matter what your email says. We had naan, samosas, pakoras, korma, yellow daal, and chana saag and everything was tasty. It’s not what I would describe as authentically spicy, but I think the spice level is reflective of what their clientele wants.

One of the worst feelings at this restaurant we wasted money on food that was nasty, on top of that we had to suffer a worse atmosphere and customer service at this place. St. Louis City must close this restaurant due to hygienic and low standard food.

Simply avoid. Food felt like precooked well in advance. Food quality was sub standard. A/C was turned off on 90+ degree day. We were the only customers so they didn’t turn it on and provided a fan

This restaurant was here doing the same buffet way back when I was vegetarian. While I'm here in St Louis I'm making my way to the buffet most Mondays.

Food is ok but utensils are worst. They are not cleaning the plates and cups at-all they are so sticky and dirty.

I like the food here but there closing time in the afternoon shows 2.30. I was trying to place a to go order from 1.30. Their phone wasn’t reaching at all. It’s directly re directing to voicemail. I reached their restaurant by 2.10 travelling 30 minutes in rush thinking they will be closing by 2.30. Guess what their doors closed by the time I reached. There are no one in the front counter. No one in the restaurant. I knocked the door for 5 minutes and left with hungry stomach. This is second time I am facing similar issue. Previous time they took my to go order I said I would be there by 2.15 and by the time I reached they were closed. I called multiple times none answered. I was about to leave after trying for 15 minutes and made a last attempt that’s when they answered call and opened the doors. I hated this I was late to my class because of that. This is so bad to direct customers wrong way by showing wrong timings or closing early.

The old chef left and since then it's gotten progressly worse. Did he leave a recipe.book behind by chance?!?! The buffet was just a line up of undercooked and underseasoned food that was mush that seemed days old. Your only option is to make indian nachos. No AC, so you get to drink icewater to cool you. Long time customer since Page Ave and it's really sad.

The vegetable pakora had good flavor but more batter than expected. The samosas were good. The lentil soup lacked flavor and no matter how many times I stirred it up it always separated. The aloo gobi was too mild in flavor. I'd consider getting food from here again but I'd skip the soup and try a different entree or come on a Monday night to try the vegan buffet. My partner did enjoy the vegetarian Malai kofta and the gulab jamon. Overall I found the food to be on the bland side.

My partner and I have ordered from Gokul before (and loved it every time) but today was our first time trying the buffet. Every single dish was so delicious and the staff was very kind! The buffet is such a great deal and we cannot wait to go back.
