Havana's Cuisine Restaurant

A friend recommended me here and I owe her one for sure. I ordered a ropa vieja sandwich and I’ve been craving it ever since I left. Our waitress was incredible as well. She gave us some stellar recommendations and seemed to genuinely love her job. I don’t live in St.Louis otherwise I would certainly be a regular here. 10/10!

LOVE this restaurant and the owners! Excited for their better location in CWE and expanded menu! Owners and all servers are all wonderful. I love that there are ao many options that I try something new each time!
NOTE: they are also one of my fave vendors during the 100 Best Taste of STL because they bring an entire delicious meal!!

Wow! This place was amazing. I told my husband the other day that it has been a long time since l've ate at a restaurant that really wowed me. This one did just that. The food was absolutely perfect. The best Cuban food I have ever ate. I ordered the specialty, which was the 4 inch cuban sandwich and a beef and cheese empanada. The sandwich was very tender and juicy and had all the flavors! You definitely need a couple extra napkins eating this. The empanada was jam filled with beef and cheese with a crispy dough shell and probably the best empanada I have ever had. When we walked in we were quickly greeted and seated. There were only about 10 tables so by 12:30 they were full and had people waiting outside. You definitely might want to try to come earlier. Parking is a bit of a challenge as it's street parking with meters and not a lot of it. We got really lucky and got a spot right across the street. But wherever you have to park, it is definitely worth it. This place is absolutely worth trying. Without a doubt, will be back.

I'm a self-proclaimed Cuban sammich historian. I live in Tampa, the birth place of the Cuban sandwich, and have been eating them since I had baby teeth. That was 50 years ago! I mention all of that to simply state with vigor that this is a real deal Cuban sandwich served on authentic Cuban bread. You'd be hard pressed (pun intended) to find a better one in the Midwest. On the day we went, the pork was flavorful, but a tad bit dry. I cook roast pork often, and it happens. I try to keep my reviews honest and relative to my actual experience, so that's the only reason I'm giving a 4/5 even though my instinct is to give a 5/5. Bottom line, go get this sandwich today!! You will not regret it.

The atmosphere and the décor was very nice. The service was excellent restaurant very clean. Great appearance. However, the food was bland no spice, pretty tasteless portions were great, but it just didn't taste like I would have expected.

My first experience with Authentic Cuban Cuisine and I was NOT disappointed 😋

I tried the Tampa Cuban with Yellow rice 😍 the sauce is the boss!
My husband tried the Ropa Vieja the roast beef was so juicy and tender 😋
We also tried the Tropical Mango Wings 😍😋 Definitely worth the price 👌🏾 and the Caramel Flan!!! Omg I love Authentic Cuban cuisine now!

I love this place! Tamara is awesome. The food is so good. Try the vaca frita sometime if you haven't. It isn't as well known as ropa vieja or arroz con pollo, but it is just ad amazing. The Cuban sandwiches are to die for although I order it without pickles and mustard (I know, blasphemy). For those who have never had Cuban food, it isn't spicy hot like Mexican food. Lots of garlic, onion, and cumin are the main spices.

I am sorry, I really thought this was going to be good from the reviews, but I was disappointed. The wings were not crispy and there was no variety of drums and flats.
