We ordered the fried vegetable momo, lamb choila, and vegetable fried rice.
To be honest, the vegetable fried rice was the best of the three. The momo was the worst I’ve ever tasted, and the choila seemed more like plain boiled lamb mixed with a lot of sliced onions.

None of the staff asked how our food was, although one waitress was kind enough to bring us extra sauce when we requested it.

I’m from Texas, and unfortunately, this Nepali restaurant in St. Louis didn’t meet my expectations. Please take this as constructive feedback—I’m not trying to put anyone down. I just hope you continue to work hard and serve truly authentic Nepali food.

Himalayan Yeti restaurant in St. Louis offers a pleasant dining experience. Their lunch buffet provides a good selection of dishes, and the rice pudding is a notable sweet treat. It's a solid choice for a meal out.

Went for the lunch buffet. Decent they did have vegetable korma while which was nice, but it was lacking quality vegetables and they were very small. Everything tasted pretty good but, it just wasn't worth the $20 per person. I'd give this 3.75 if i could.

We found this restaurant through Google and, honestly, our first impression from the outside wasn’t great—the building looked old, and we even thought about leaving to try somewhere else. But since we were already there, we decided to go inside, and I’m so glad we did.

The interior was very clean, and the buffet offered a wide variety of dishes. Two of us chose the buffet while the other two ordered from the allergy-aware menu. The food was excellent—fresh, flavorful, and balanced. Unlike many Indian restaurants where dishes can feel heavy with too much oil or spice, everything here was well-seasoned and light without compromising on taste.

The service was another highlight. The two young women at the front were very welcoming, and the waitresses managed the crowd efficiently while still being attentive. When the masala chai ran out, they quickly refilled it for us, which we really appreciated.

Overall, I’d rate this place highly for its fresh food and friendly service. If I’m back in Saint Louis, I’ll definitely return here for the buffet.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Himalayan Yeti has become our go-to takeout spot, and for good reason—the food is absolutely amazing. Every dish bursts with fresh flavors, aromatic spices, and that perfect balance of comfort and excitement you want from Nepalese and Indian cuisine.

Whether it’s the rich, velvety curries, tender momos, or fluffy naan fresh from the oven, everything tastes like it’s made with care and pride. The portions are generous, the ingredients are fresh, and the flavors are consistently spot-on.

The staff is friendly and efficient, and our orders are always ready on time—hot, fresh, and perfectly packed for the ride home. Himalayan Yeti has a way of turning an ordinary night into something special, and we’re so glad to have it in our regular rotation.

Bottom line: If you’re looking for bold, delicious flavors and consistently excellent takeout, Himalayan Yeti never disappoints.

I stopped into this place on my way through St Louis. I found this place on Google Maps and so glad I did. The service was fast and friendly! The food was amazing! I had the Lamb Rogan Josh (of course!) I met some locals who visit often. If you are in the area, you should definitely check this place out.
