This is a place that my inner grandpa not only loves, but craves. The food is of a kind that used to be ubiquitous and is now nearly extinct: excellent, unpretentious and plentiful homestyle American food served on plastic plates with enough for two meals at a price point that rivals terrible fast food options for a full meal. Though they are famous for their fried chicken, I check their specials regularly for the meatloaf and the Polish sausage, and my go-to is their Chicken...
Seat yourself, no hostess. Big restaurant, so it wasn't loud. Good ambiance. The server was very friendly. I had the grilled chicken Cobb salad - very delicious. Wings are great, too.
