Went for lunch with family! Told us we had to sit outside because we would fill up their place! Had a baby with us and he began to cry. They were shaking their heads and making us feel unwelcome. We got our menus and decided to go to another place! Very disrespectful, not a place for family. On our way out the guy being disrespectful denied having anything to do with how they were treating us.

If you haven’t visited Hogtown yet, you’re missing the hell out!! A friend of mine told me to come here and that was 1 month ago- since then I’ve been 4 different times and I’m never disappointed. Make sure to get there at a decent hour on Fridays because they may run out of meat- but the staff is 1000% accommodating - the owner is there the entire time helping or interacting with patrons and the fact that he’s there every time I’ve been there says a lot. Word of advice- he’s a sucker for the song “Debra” by Beck just fyi. ?

Great find in Clayton. Parking on the street. Offers inside and outside seating. We got seated for 8 people for Sunday lunch with no wait. I would prefer some shade outside, as it was hot outside. They offer good kids menu, sandwiches and meat plates. Argentinian sandwich is to try. Brisket tray is must: meat was delish!

Tasty pulled pork! Kid-friendly sauce options. Hit the spot for a bbq craving. Sat inside on a hot day after the zoo and enjoyed our visit — outdoor seating as well. Nothing fancy but Friendly staff.

Sitting here soaking it in. Equal parts joint, hole in the wall, neighborhood icon. Clearly the locals know. You know?!My food was spectacular. Had the special. Smoked Corned Beef Ruben. PHENOMENAL! I'm a foodie at heart. Easily the best Ruben sandwich I've ever, and I mean EVER had. Accompanied by a proper pint and some of the yummiest Mac n Cheese. I really hope this is what heaven's like. Lol.Missus had the loaded pork sandwich. Solid. I tried it. Honestly though I could have replicated that elsewhere. My only regret is not being able to get all Jedi with my food capacity so I could have eaten/tried more. Incentive to come back I guess.I have a mileage rating I sometimes employ. I would say HogTown Smokehouse is a 75 miler. That is... if you're within 75 miles you be a fool to not stop by and enjoy.Say hi to Madison (Madi) our bartender while you're there.Cheers

Best brisket bbq I've ever had. Literally cut it with a plastic fork, and it would, in fact, melt in your mouth. Original tangy BBQ sauce should be tried- black pepper adds an additional layer of sauce complexity. Vinegar slaw includes banana pepper rings, and light celery seed background flavors to what is almost fresh (unfermented) but slightly pickled cabbage (and touch of carrot) sauerkraut - not sweet sour like some do vinegar based slaws. Unique, satisfying, and a great foil for the wonderful meats. Spouse had the smoked chicken on salad. Also wonderfully smoked and delicious. Close to zoo, well worth the visit.

Fantastic food. If you’re looking for traditional smoked and bbq dinner or more modern fare, both are available and delicious at hogtown. Amazing sauces too. Love this place.

Perhaps one of the best BBQ places I've ever been to. The BBQ is not too sweet and the meat is tender. Mac and cheese was amazing.

This place is small but the best food I have eaten all year! Amazing! I got the special which was a French dip on garlic bread, beans and Mac are great too. Kiddos love the grilled cheese. This is a must go, way better than all the chain like places downtownKid-friendliness: Grilled cheese and Mac was a hit!!

This is a small place with huge upside!! On our weekend visit, we ate dinner here and happy to report they had the best ribs out of all the places we ate and don't pass on the coleslaw.
