Our high tea was fantastic. Our server, Maurgan was attentive. We are sad to see the tea room close. Thank you for exceptional cuisine and memories, including Prince Charles' coronation viewing party.
I love coming to The London Tea Room for afternoon tea. The room is always lovely and the service is amazing. I fell in love with the beautiful purple china plate and cup I had this time around. The afternoon tea was delicious. I always have a wonderful time there.
The concept is lovely, but seemed understaffed. The food was very good and presented like a classic tea. The tea selection was large. The staff answered questions when asked, but did not offers any suggestions. There was a woman playing videos on her phone very loudly the entire time that detracted from the atmosphere. It is a fun and tasty experience, that needs a bit more attention to service.
The London tea Room is always our favorite place for a girls day. Our service was a bit off this time, though not the usual experience. It was not any busier than usual, but we couldn't even get spoons or cream for our tea until our food was served. Again, not the usual experience but not the best.
The downtown location of The London Tea Room does not have the cozy atmosphere that the Morganford location afforded. The space is bigger with taller ceilings and the consequent noise level that accompanies such a space. The decor is attractive, but the industrial feel is the dominant vibe. The sound of the bus cart wheels clamoring over the tile floor is not soon forgotten. Even when not in motion, the bus cart's presence in the dining area is a reminder that guests are not in England. Food and tea were delicious. Ambiance and service do not complement the fare.
Wonderful way to spend an afternoon! Took my mother & daughter here to enjoy a new experience! This was so wonderful and we had the best time! Food and tea was so wonderful!!! Highly recommend.
We loved the London Tea Room! Food and tea were great. The customer service was top notch. Given the acoustics of the room, I wish there was more noise insulation to make it easier to talk to your table mates and also to the servers.
It was a nice place to visit for something unique. It was a little bit overpriced for the amount for the amount of food, without choices. It was tight and loud, especially for the older people in our crowd. I would recommend to a friend, but I would give them all the details beforehand.
Our experience was very much enjoyed. Service, tea, and food were all very good and done well. The windows needed to be cleaned and were full of cob webs. As a suggestion, it would be nice if they put some flowers or plants outside under the windows. Rather than look out of dirty windows at old cracked sidewalks, look out clean clear windows at beautiful foliage and flowers.
So I'm pretty picky about food as I bake a lot but the scone I had was dry and pretty tasteless. Others in my party felt the same. Scones should be their forte. The chicken salad was very good, the sausage rolls were good. The sweets were pretty but looked better than they tasted. The pots of tea were good and hot. Service was not good the day we went. We went on a Friday with a noon reservation for 5. We were seated at noon or a bit before. We did not see our treats until 12:45. That's just way too long to wait! Particularly when most items are premade and everyone gets the same items. It took a while for our pots of tea to arrive as well but I could deal with that. I would go for a special occasion but am not in a hurry to rush back. I think they have a great concept and lots going for them but could do much better with their execution. Our bill was $186 before tip with no extras for 4 savory teas and one savory/sweet tea!

Great place for afternoon tea but our experience yesterday was substandard compared to previous visits. Obviously understaffed and managed on the day after July 4 holiday. Hopefully our next visit will be a better experience.
This is more for a special occasion, bridal, baby shower or party. We use to go once a month or so at the old location. Now you have to do afternoon tea or high tea, I wish you could get a pot of tea and a dessert or something.
Our first time at the new location and the ambiance is lovely. Food was great. Tea is fabulous. Perhaps this is nitpicking, but I found myself wishing that the menu (or server) listed the specific current selections for the two meal options. The website could use updating and the socials didn't have this information either. Also, with two men in our group, I wished there were some savory options in the “add on” menu selection, for those with heartier appetites. That said, it's a great experience!
We've had afternoon tea overseas and the decor, ambiance, and the staff of this location were just lovely and everything I expected. The staff is amazing. They are welcoming and attentive. I do think that the experience overall was lovely but I thought the food was nothing special and it was a bit pricey for what we received. Obviously, one is partially paying for the experience, so definitely 5 stars to the staff and the high tea experience but I cannot give more than two stars for the food.
The service and food were great as always! The only thing that subtracted from the experience was that it smelled like sewer inside the building. It hit you as soon as you walked in. We have been there many times and have not had this issue so I am not sure what was going on this time.
