Ibby's service was great, but the food (buffet) was just so-so. Plus, the current setup had the ambience of a crowded cafeteria, which was not what I was expecting. Next time, I would order off the menu and perhaps be less disappointed. As a lunch spot, I'd have liked to see a couple non-alcoholic brews on the drink list (e.g., WellBeing).

DONALD IS A KING. He is the host and my man got us in when no one thought possible. He worked his magic and made it a night to remember. He is genuinely a sweetest man and deserves the world!!! Thank you Donald ???????????

Now I understand why this place can’t even get an average four-star review. Somehow my friends wanted to try out this pricey place in a somehow affordable canteen. If the food was good, then fine the price would be acceptable. However, clearly the food was overpriced. And the worst thing of all was that they collected a 18% unconditional tips. No wonder the server could chill and took 15+ minutes to return our checks.

Aside from the carbonation machine not working (and I therefore couldn't get a Shirley Temple, nor my friend, her Cherry Coke), the food came out in a timely manner, our waiter was very polite and patient, and the prices were fair for the amount and quality of the food

The reservation was for Valentines...and never dining at the establishment. When arriving, noticed the location was at Wash-U's collage campus. The 'restaurant' was actually in the school's Cafe area, just in the rear. Nice, but I was EXTREMELY overdressed. The ambiance is more tennis, jeans and relaxed shirt (college attire)...just a heads up.

Visited this restaurant for the first time with another alum. It seems a bit pricey for a student dining establishment, but perhaps reasonable for a date or dinner with your parents.Have to give a shout out to Jessica, the manager, who was very accommodating to my friend with a dietary restriction.

Came here all the time during college! Great desserts and appetizers and love the rotating menu. Good with food substitutions too! Will miss this restaurant

Dedicating my 600th review to the restaurant I have probably been to the most in my life. I was surprised that there was a restaurant on campus, but I soon learned that this was a blessing in disguise as the amount of meal points you can use here is wonderful. Since I always have too many meal points, I frequented this place A LOT. It seems like where they make Ibby's food is the same place where the make DUC food. The only difference is that Ibby's food is plated and therefore, seems fancier. I came here typically more than 3x a week so I have had the opportunity to try their menu many times over. Here are my favorites: - Banana Foster - Best dessert on campus no cap. The vanilla ice cream works perfectly well with the very sweet caramel and brownie. This may also be my favorite dessert because I never had a Banana Foster before coming to WashU but this thing is seriously good. - Parmesan Fries - They come with a lot of entrees so you don't need to buy it as a side. The fries are ridiculously good - crispy on the outside and mashed potato consistency on the inside. One of the things I will definitely miss after graduation. - Fish anything - Whether that's the lunch buffet option (pre-COVID) or dinner, get the fish. It's so tender and I feel like the quality is pretty good. - Brussel Sprouts - WashU makes the best brussel sprouts in the world. It's so weird that this is their specialty but they roast it until its very crispy and full of the vinaigrette, lemon flavor. - Steamed Green Beans - Simple but delicious. The one thing is though they don't give you a lot when you buy this item, so you might need to buy 2 to feel full. - Calamari - I know that WashU is not near the ocean but it may as well be. The calamari is so good, I definitely have eaten just this dish for dinner many times. I think the reason why it is good is because of how much parmesan then put on it and the tomato dipping sauce is awesome. - I miss the buffet, so the buffet. So the reason for the 4 stars is because some of their food is pretty questionable. Sweet Potato Pasta used to be pretty good but now its just a white sauce mess with chickpeas and mint? It's a weird combination if you ask me. The Bistro Salad is also kind of gross, but also I don't love beets. Also they stopped changing their menus as much during COVID which is pretty disappointing. Overall, really great campus food option to kill some meal points. But if I was just a regular visitor on campus I would not come here. The prices are just not worth it. Go to BD or DUC instead.

Cool location to meet with coworkers. I will be bringing friends next time. The prices are good for what you get.

Alright. It's a college restaurant so what do you expect. They charge too much for masticated steak and fries with oily cheese on top. The decor is also lacking. Four wine bottles you bought from target doesn't count as "fine dining" ambience.

Way too over priced because it's the only restaurant on campus which takes meal points

I generally have low standards for foods, so it's pretty rare that I feel this disappointed by a dish. My friend and I both ordered the quiche entrees and struggled to eat it as the texture and (lack of flavor) became nauseating at some point. They were basically just very watery, steamed eggs with no crust (?? so not a quiche). The picture of the dish says it all. I would've preferred eating just straight-up raw tofu over this.
