This sushi rivals Chicago sushi joints!! New to the area and it's hands down the best sushi I've had in STL! Huge rolls with more sushi than rice and not overpowered with sauces like so many other places! Highly recommend!!!

Went on a Saturday afternoon and had the best service. They showed us the fresh fish selection and specials for the day. The best Age Dashi I have ever had. The bento box is an amazing value.

This place has always been great, but they’ve upgraded immensely under new ownership. The new owners have amazing experience having owned a sushi restaurant in Kirkwood that closed down during Covid (Sushi Bistro) and they’ve brought back some of the beloved menu items from back then! Try the Ocean Roll and you’ll thank me! We were already regulars but now we’re coming back way more often!

Under new ownership as of early Sept 2025 after the former owner retired. We have liked this sushi restaurant for over 10 years. New menu with many delicious and creative options, but they will make old favorites if requested. They are still waiting for their license to sell beer, wine and liquor.

They just got new owners, and now offer an all-you-can-eat option along with a wide selection of chef’s special rolls. Probably the best all-you-can-eat sushi in town! The quality is outstanding—fresh tuna, toro, salmon, and uni that truly stand out.

The sushi was absolutely delicious, with fresh and plentiful ingredients. The atmosphere in the restaurant was relaxed and comfortable, making it a pleasant dining experience. What I enjoyed the most was ZEE’s service—always warm, attentive, and just right. I’ll definitely be coming back often.

First time back under new ownership and they’re wonderful! Generous servings, whether a la cart or all you can eat, and fresh, well presented rolls and sushi. For appetizers, loved their crab Rangoon and spring rolls. The service is super friendly and efficient.

I’ve gotten take out from Izakaya Ren a couple times now and each time I’ve been impressed by the size of the rolls. They are huge and very yummy. The staff are also very nice.

Great place for lunch! Super surprised it wasn't more full when we went. They have lunch combos with speedy and friendly service. The food is delish. Perfect spot for a work-day lunch. Will definately be back!

I've been three times. I like rolls, but the thing i remember about each visit is the owner's impatience. He's in a rush to give you the check and then come collect it while you are still eating. And this is during lunch when the place is empty. So, good place to get food. Not so good if you want to sit for a few minutes.
