Truly sad that this was our last time dining at J.Devoti. This was another amazing experience and Devin took amazing care of us. We will miss him! The delectable flavors that chef Devoti was able to create was truly exceptional. Pair that with an amazing front of house staff and you create more than just a meal, you create memories. Thank you J.Devoti for the memories!

Celebrating 60 bday and it was above expectations . Every course and wine pairing was perfect. Absolutely delish and like no other. Not rushed thru meal, small and intimate without being aloof.

Amazing service. The food was delicious. Love that most everything is created in house and/or sourced locally. The only place where I find eating mushrooms an enjoyable experience.

The farm-to-table aspect of JDevoti was appealing as many of the Italian restaurants in the Hill area of St. Louis aren't. Food is super fresh. The menu is a 4-course fixed price. We only has to choose one of two entrees which are offered. The night we were there we opened with an appetizer of arancini, then moved onto a salad. For our main I had scallops and my friend had lasagna. Both were memorably delicious. To end the evening we had olive oil cake with a scoop of ice cream. Food in Italy is so tasty because it is fresh. The food at JDevoti is equally amazing. So unique yet reminiscent of food from Italy. We will be back for sure.

Review takes into context the above average cost of a dinner for two. Good food, good environment. The menu is too rigid. Understand the focus on seasonal but it's still too rigid. Service was variable. Server was inexperienced but host and support personnel were fantastic.

We have a few "go-to" places that we can reliably depend upon. We've been 100% ok with the sort of quirky way this restaurant has been run, and have generally loved the food. Our last meal, however, was a huge disappointment. Our daughter was in town from college and we took her out to celebrate. The apps (and wine) were excellent, but the main course (ribs) were IMO inedible. They were both tough and so salted it was akin to some kind of thick jerky. None of us ate more than one bite. We had tickets at the Fox that night, so we really didn't have time to try for a replacement dish. I figured I'd call the restaurant, let them know the experience, and they'd make it right. So I called the following week. Never got a call back. Since they have a unique schedule, I thought I'd go the extra mile and just share my experience via email (to their general info inbox). Again, no reply. They pop up in my Insta fee a LOT, so I KNOW they are active on Insta. I sent them a quick "I bet you didn't see the email" message on Insta...again...nothing. We won't be back. A $200 life lesson for me.

Total disappointment. don't like new fixed menu. Old system much better. Service wea very slow, even with dining room less than half full. Was not offered any bread with meal (at $60 a plate?). Had often recommended you place previously, but will not be doing so going forward. We started with you when you first started down on Manchester in the "Grove". Dave and Barbara Hackett

Our dinner was delicious, perfectly prepared and seasoned. We especially liked the salad with wild mushrooms and the cod dish. Wait staff are friendly and attentive. Our experience was significantly diminished by the pacing & wait for each course from start to end. It took 1-1/2 hours before our main course arrived. Given that the menu is prix fix with only one choice and the restaurant was less than half full we were perplexed by this. We enjoy having a leisurely meal but this was too slow. We will probably return less often because of it. Another issue is that the dessert course does not have a healthy option which would be nice given the prix fix price structure and the number of people with dietary restrictions.

We were celebrating our birthdays. This is an annual event and we so enjoy Anthony's kitchen magic! St. Louis is so fortunate to have a chef of this caliber! We are never disappointed. The atmosphere, servers, and food is the absolute best!

Creative food, tasteful ambiance, excellent service. Flavors were amazing and innovative without being strangely exotic. Perfect portions and well timed delivery by very knowledgeable staff. One of the best meals I've eaten on the Hill or anywhere in STL.

Food is perfect. The menu is set, I wasn't able to find it online before we went so it was a surprise. They accommodated a vege option for us that was good. The price point is high. $60/plate. The ambiance is under par. A combination of music, people at the bar, loud talking in the kitchen wasn't ideal.Overall, delicious and high-end experience.

First time at J Devoti and the experience was outstanding! Really enjoyed the ambiance (sat inside) and the service was top notch. We did the 4-course menu along with the wine pairing and it was a blast. Would recommend to any other first-timers. Makes the evening relaxing, takes the variables out and provides a great dining experience. Food exceeded expectations. For my main I chose the lasagna which was an off menu option. So happy I did...it was fantastic! My beautiful bride chose the scallops and she loved her choice. She was kind enough to share and the scallops will be my choice next time...off the charts. It was a great night and looking forward to visiting J Devoti again soon!

Wonderful restaurant with a chef determined menu. The food of the meal was very good. The wine pairings for the 4 courses were spot on. The price/value was a bit proud. This place is ideal for dining, however the courses were too drawn out and the wait staff could have been more present. When they were present they were very good.

This is one of our go to restaurants and we have always enjoyed our food there immensely. Because of the lack of workers and kitchen help, they have changed their menu to a prefix format. Dinner this time was less tasty than usual. The Ceasar salad course lacked the tang of Ceasar dressing. The third course was the chowder, it was very bland, lacked salt but it did benefit from the garlic olive oil drizzle, albeit not enough. The dessert pie tart had a fabulously flaky crust and very tasty ice cream. I hope next time they'll have a better choice of courses. My Boulevardier was not as good as I've had elsewhere. I would still recommend the restaurant.

The new four course dinner was great. I am a long time fan of J Devoti. Tonight reinforced my opinion. The wine pairing, which is very reasonably priced, was very good. The fettuccini with ricotta and mushrooms was wonderful; it had great flavors. The pork was well cooked with nuanced tastes. The chocolate tart was a great finish. Just superb!
