Would give them more stars if I could. My boyfriend and I sat at the bar tonight (2/25) and the solo server and solo bartender rocked it out. They were busy prior to our arrival and that trend only continued. I don't know of many restaurant staff who could handle a walk-in 12 top, bar guests, and several families with small children who came in at the same time. They were assisting each other, running food (I even saw a kitchen staff member running food), bagging togos, changing kegs, and absolutely *killing* it all while never missing a beat. Food was amazing too!

This restaurant is right across the street from my salon so it's extremely convenient. I also use it for my clients that are getting long hair services and get hungry. ❤️ Great staff!!

I had a pretty frustrating debacle with another pizza joint and then I remembered how good JJ Twig's double decker pizzas are. I ordered over the phone, 2 14" pizzas. A thin crust "First Date" and a double decker pepperoni. They said it would be 30 minutes. I got there right at 30 minutes and they were hot and ready. The employees were super nice and the pizzas were fantastic, per usual. The 2 pizzas worked out to be about 6 small meals. Definitely recommend!

It was so good. I really wanted to give five stars but the only reason for the four stars is the food was a bit overdone. My bread on my sandwich was a charred/burnt and my husband's chicken was a little over fried. I ordered the meatball sub sandwich with french fries. First of all, the french fries here are really good. I love the seasoning on them and they taste great leftover if you heat them up in the air fryer. My sandwich was delicious. The meatballs were very tasty. The sauce was full of flavor. It had a little bit of a kick spice to it which I liked. Lots of cheese on top of the sandwich. The only downfall was, the bread was pretty charred in spots. My husband ordered his go-to which was the buffalo fried chicken sandwich. This is a really big sandwich and it's pretty darn tasty. He said that his chicken was a little bit over cooked and dry.. Besides that our meal was great. The waitresses here are always so friendly and quick. The restaurant tonight was busy and loud but there's really nothing you can do about that. If you're looking for a place for a good pizza or a great sandwich You will not be disappointed for stopping here. When the weather gets better, they do have a nice patio on the side of the building that they will open up.

Delicious pizza! We got the double decker bbq pizza and it was so unique! There's quite a bit of bbq sauce and by the end it was a little bit too much. But overall, the food was delicious and our server was excellent. No reservation was needed during the week, it wasn't too busy

We had group of 8 for lunch. I had beef and sausage combo sandwich with onion rings. Others had lunch pizza specials, grilled chicken breast sandwich, salads, pasta, and chicken wings. Everyone absolutely loved the food and service. We even asked to meet the chef, because the food was so good. He was very gracious and appreciative. Our server was excellent. We will definitely be returning for future work lunches. Thanks!!!

Great food and nice atmosphere. Very clean bathroom, waitress was very hospitable, and lots of TVs to watch the game. I also really like that they show up at Southampton community events and they really feel like a neighborhood sports bar.

Really on a mission to try every notable pizza place in St Louis. It's amazing how many there are, and even more amazing how many can be found in South City. That said, the bar is pretty high for good pizza in St Louis to me. JJ Twigs has been on my radar for a bit, and myself and a friend finally made it on a Tuesday night. As you'd expect, it was not overly crowded. Our server was fantastic, and attentive. Quick to come over and take my drink order after I arrived after my friend who'd already gotten his. She was great about coming back to check on us, and even to update us about the status of our pizza coming out. Service here seemingly is top notch. Again, the bar is high for me when it comes to pizza in St Louis. There are close to a dozen top tier spots I constantly rave about any chance I get. Unfortunately, Twigs will not be among them. The pizza was good, but not above average for me. I found the toppings and the cheese enjoyable, but was let down by the lack of sauce. The crust on the thin crust, was great! Flakey and crispy. However, I did not care for the texture of the outer edge of the crust on the double decker. It was also quite burnt. I'd go back and give JJ Twigs another go, and stick with a thin crust if someone invited me. But, probably not going out of my way to go back under my own volition with all the other options that exist.
