I had the #1 Joe Fassi Combo, and it was the best sandwich I've had in a long time, maybe ever. Delicious. And the side salad was excellent as well. I will be coming back here the next time I'm in St. Louis! I enjoyed the old-time ambience of the restaurant as well.

Delicious sandwich spot!
The highly recommended sandwich was any meatball sub, and it did not disappoint. Generous portions, reasonable prices, and tasty. The interior is tight, so small groups recommend. Outdoor seating is available, it was pouring rain during my visit though. Cool decor, the Godfather was playing during my visit, which was awesome!

I used to live a few blocks from this place and, unfortunately, had to move away to another state several years ago. One of the many things I miss is Joe Fassi's. Love this place. Best Saliccia anywhere. St. Louis style Italian sausage is the best and Joe Fassi's does it the best. My wife and I lived there in our 20's and our first child was born at that time so we have a lot of great memories from our time in South St. Louis and stopping buy Joe Fassi's...
