The place itself is good, the atmosphere and service was great. The food is okay. However, the food is slightly overpriced, definitely could get something better with bigger portions elsewhere.

Got two hotpot bowls and they were huge. Flavour was not bad though. Also got the soft tofu bowl which had a unique taste to it, it was slightly sweet (maybe from the gochujang?) but wasn't too bad.

It was really busy and we wanted to do karaoke but they were all booked.

Overall, food and service was okay. Might come back to try the Korean BBQ next time.

Had one of my finest experiences at a korean restaurant here. Very pleasantly surprised. Was in dallas texas recently, and was sadly disappointed at 3 different Korean establishments there, all of them in their koreatown area.

A friend and I had dinner at joo joo on a Sunday evening. We ordered 3 dishes. Yuk gae jang (spicy beef soup), baby octopus and pork belly stir fry, and jajangmyeon (black bean noodles). Honestly, all three dishes were spot on. The yuk gaejang broth and the stir fry sauce were some of the best I've had. The black bean sauce was good too. I'm used to pork for the protein, ours had octopus, which was still good. The side dishes were pretty standard, but all were good. Special mention to the braised potatoes - they were fabulous. I wish they brought out some radish kimchi (they may have had it, but we didnt ask, as we had so much food already).

Not only was the food wonderful, we were equally impressed with the service. The wait staff were friendly and attentive to our needs throughout the night, and took the time to answer questions and explain what everything was and how to eat them. This quality of service wasnt something i normally expect, so we were pleasantly surprised. Props to the staff. Perhaps a reflection on management.

Wished we would have taken some photos of the dishes to post. Top honors to joo joo, they have their stuff together. Highly recommended.

This is a long over due review but our experience was so wonderful I had to take the time to thank this establishment one more time. My daughter decided for her birthday she wanted to take some friends to experience Korean. Normally I love Joo Joo for the family because they make you feel like family and the food always hits the spot but I wanted to make it special since it was for a birthday so I called to see if I could decorate a table before I surprised my daughter and friends. Everyone was beyond accommodating and really went out of their ways to help me prepare. Even though we were a table of 12 year olds the staff catered to my girls as if they were V.I.P. My daughter and friends loved the experience and we always appreciate the wonderful team at Joo Joo for making dining so comfortable and welcoming .

This is an updated review!

FOOD: The food is really delicious! If you don't know what to order get any of their dol sot meals or the stir fried kimchi pork! I am still gushing about this!

SERVICE: Our server was so nice! He answered all of our questions and even made food recommendations!

ATMOSPHERE: As someone who suffers from certain chronic conditions and can be easily overwhelmed, I'm so happy that they changed the type of music they play inside the restaurant. Before I couldn't even hear myself with how loud the music was playing, but during our last two visits here they are just playing mellow music or the volume wasn't too loud or distracting. I sincerely appreciate that more than they probably realized!

Definitely going back here again!

We absolutely loved this place. We went on a Saturday around 2 o’clock myself, my husband and our four-year-old. The staff was very friendly and attentive, which was amazing considering they had a birthday party of about 30 people, and I’m sure that took a lot of effort to get all those people happy and they all seemed very very happy. We ordered the brisket for the grill and the Bulgolgi dol sot. The brisket was so delicious. It was tender and juicy and flavorful. It was perfection and the rice dish was so amazing. I’m so glad I watched a video where they said not to stir it all together and to leave some rice at the bottom so that it gets nice and crispy the crispy rice at the end was banging. We will definitely be coming back here. It’s a little bit of a far drive from our house but it’s about three minutes away from a friend so next time we’re out visiting them we’ll take them with us so that they can enjoy 10 out of 10 would definitely recommend this place. I’d also say the prices are very comparable to any other Korean barbecue places that I have been to keep in mind I have only gone to four or five other places.

Kid-friendliness: I brought my four year-old son who given is very well behaved and he absolutely loved it. He thought it was so cool that he got to grill his food at the table. He did not like the kimchi and embarrassed me by spitting into his hand and saying oh so I’m sorry for that, but besides that he really loved it

Food is really good and delicious. Unfortunately, prices have increased over the years and is expensive now. Still good food and service. I come once in awhile now as a treat.

Came here to celebrate a friends birthday. The food was delicious and the service was great. We’ll be back! We ordered 5 dishes for 6 people and it was plenty. It came out to $42 a person.
