I've enjoyed this buffet for years and my most recent visits were terrible experiences. The food quality is in the basement, inedible. Chewy meat, dried out wings and no flavor in most dishes. I will not return.

Nice family buffet style restaurant. Excellent selection of seafood, chicken, beef and pork dishes. Fresh fruit in season, salad. Not fancy but the server was attentive and the dining room very clean.

Buffet had lots of variety, staff was good. Outside could use some sprucing up to look more inviting. Food was fresh, flavorful. Will go back.

Sad to say this has been my least enjoyed buffet. Food was average at best. Surprised at the amount of fried food on the buffet. Indonesia want fried foods, I want a selection of various meat and vegetables dishes. There is no need for a return trip for me.

Saw a cockroach by the ice cream station. Didn't complain cause the food always hit.

Food quality is disappointing. The hibachi grill and sushi bar are closed at dinner time but the price sure doesn't reflect that.

The fish & vegetables with bean juice & white rice was tasty!

I have been coming to Joy Luck for many many years. In all the times I have patroned this restaurant, it has NEVER disappointed. The atmosphere is classy yet comfortable with the perfect amount of lighting and an aroma of freshly made cuisine that gets your mouth watering as soon as you enter. As for the food; I have occasionally ordered an entrée, which was absolutely perfectly prepared, but I mostly order the buffet. The buffet is quite possibly the best in St. Louis. It continuously has the freshest selections from their salad items all the way to their hot foods. No matter the time or day, I walk out, not only impressed, but left wishing I had not gotten that last plate. It is absolutely delicious. The staff who see you are taken care of are attentive and eager to assist you in any way they can. I never thirst for a refill, that's for sure!! Overall, Joy Luck is by far one of the best restaurants in St. Louis I have ever experienced, and I look forward to my next visit.

Great food, great atmosphere, terrible service.
The food at this Chinese restaurant was delicious, and the ambiance was quite pleasant. However, the front desk staff China guy was incredibly rude and lacked basic politeness. It was a real shame that such a negative experience detracted from the otherwise enjoyable dining experience.

Food was decent for the price and being a buffet. Place was packed for a "B" on the door. You only live once, right?

Poor menu that didn't resemble Chinese food at all. And to top it off the food was cold. Worst Chinese buffet I've ever experienced. Also it was me and my 3 children and they tried to charge the children for an adult price. The waitress could barely speak English and was beyond rude. I have no idea how they keep their doors open.

Kid-friendliness: Not at all.
