J's Pitaria

We were visiting from Chicago, the hoke of Balkan food. I was sceptical at first but the atmosphere was great, no smoke, iykyk. Had cevapi, zeljanica and baklava. Absolutely fantastic, cevapi were perfect, somun (pitta bread) was amazing. Service was awesome, highly recommend. This is could be the best cevap in the Midwest.

The food is fantastic! They were very busy when we went so the service was not at its best/efficient, however the people were still very kind. I would absolutely return again for the food.

The food is always fresh and top notch. I had the falafel salad. It was my first try at falafel. It was very tasty. I usually get the donor kebab, which is fantastic. My only complaint is that they only have bottled beverage products, which never seem to be enough for a sit-down meal.

Amazing! This was my first time visiting. I dined-in. I ordered the J’s stuffed flatbread, House salad, & baklava. Everything was rich in flavor. Soooo good! Chef’s kiss. I will definitely be back.

What an absolute gem! From the moment I walked into J’s Pitaria, I was welcomed with such warmth and friendliness. The atmosphere is inviting, relaxed, and full of character — the kind of place that just feels good to be in.

I ordered the Berliner, and let me just say… it was to die for. Perfectly cooked, packed with flavor, and honestly one of the best things I’ve eaten in a long time. Every bite was incredible.

The service was just as impressive — our server was kind, attentive, and genuinely passionate about the food and experience. That kind of energy makes all the difference.

This place is a total standout. I will definitely be back — and next time, I’m bringing friends. Highly recommend!

They keep increasing their price and making the portions smaller. Not even worth it at this point, will stop going here

A fantastic discovery! While I'm not very familiar with Mediterranean cuisine, their menus are very efficient and include helpful photos. We were thoroughly pleased: everything was flavorful, well-presented, and looked great. The staff were friendly and prompt! The portions are enormous!!!!! We'll certainly return!

The entire staff was amazing. The food was delicious! Meredith made my Cheesesteak sandwich and it was presented beautifully and tasted absolutely delicious. Highly recommend this restaurant to all!
