Is everything on the menu halal?

Food was good. A small cafe setting and seemed very busy. I had to wait but was a clean and aesthetically pleasing environment

We came on a happenstance friend recommendation of an IG post. It didn't disappoint. We had the falafel, the falafel pita, the Berliner a chicken salad and a pita with cheese. It was good, the portions were large and the food was flavorful. The space is not too big and not too small, there have quite an extensive menu, to accommodate all tastes. The cashier was nice and helpful.

This place is great! I got one of the salads, and my husband got the gyro, both great. They were out of a lot of stuff, but it was late on a Saturday, so understandable. Service was great, and the restaurant was a super cool vibe.

Ahhh this place hit the spot! I was recently bragging about a gyro from another establishment to our friend, and he said that you haven't had anything until you've tried J's- he was right! Also they put my carry out order in this cute little reusable green bag, so now I'm biased. My husband and I both had the Berliner, mine with beef and his chicken. I thought my beef couldn't be beat, and then I tried his chicken, and it may have even been better! We can't wait to go back to try more! It was also ready in a super reasonable time frame, maybe 15 min on a Saturday night? If you plan on ordering to-go, save a little time by ordering online

I am such a fan of Mediterranean cuisine. I had to try J's Pitaria, and it was bombfully delightful! From the moment I stepped in, the aroma of freshly baked bread hit me. I opted for the falafel salad, and it did not disappoint. Each bite had so much flavor and crunch. What struck me most was the commitment to quality and tradition evident in the ambiance and time they take making every dish. This is not a fast food spot. Every detail is considered in making each dish. The duo behind this spot is Zamir and Josi and they prove to be passionate founders. I highly recommend paying a visit to J's Pitaria.

Yes but.... Our first time here. We ordered the falafel salad and cabbage and beef soup. My wife said it was delicious. But not hot. So the staff graciously made another bowl that was actually hot. Thank you for that! The falafel salad was good, but I felt it lacked enough flavor for the price. $15 for lettuce that was very nutritious, yet had a flavor of its own. The ingredients were 90% green lettuce (not iceberg or romaine) and some chopped onions and cucumber. Also, the dressing needed some salt, pepper or maybe more garlic. It needed something in our minds. If it was $9.99, I would let it slide, but we expected a little more for $15. My wife thought the dressing was 'gooey' or soggy. I bought some tzatziki to try and again it was in need of something. It seemed a little 'chalky' or something. The falafels were really good, although I was surprised as the outside was very crispy/hard. The inside was surprisingly perfect. We compare this sort of food to a restaurant in Springfield, Illinois called Yanni's. Their tzatziki and everything is 5 stars, excellent. But they are far from STL. We do want to come back here and try some more items. The staff were are great by the way. Maybe we will try again when we get back to this area.

J’s is one of our absolute favorites. The food is always fresh and delicious. My wife especially loves the Mediterranean chicken salad—it’s her favorite salad from anywhere (I also think it’s really good). I usually get the cevapi, which is grilled beef sausages with a large piece of fresh Bosnian bread. The burek (pastry-like bread filled with meat (or they also have some other variations) and the desserts are also excellent. Haven’t tried much else on the menu because of dietary restrictions and the fact that we like our regulars so much.

Music too loud to have a conversation.I ordered mediterranean Flatbread which typically is my go to, but this order had more olive oil than ingredients. Did not have artichokes and just a few tomatoes. Very few ingredients, I would have taken it back but we were on limited time and couldn't wait another 25 minutes.Vegetarian options: Good options for vegetarians.
