Started off the meal with the bread basket, which is a 10 out of 10 would recommend as well as the pimento cheese. Both delicious. Then my partner and I shared the Sunday Best hot chicken sandwich which was so flavorful. Everything was really yummy. I will say if you're hoping for a fountain soda, they only have cans, which they price at $4, so we'll be sticking with water next time. Nice and bright atmosphere. Seems casual and relaxed.

The chicken was very greasy, the basket its served in had grease all in the bottom. The spicy chicken isn't actually spicy, it's just heavily seasoned. The seasoning is way too much makes the chicken super salty and not at all spicy. The service was very slow and it wasn't just our server. The table next to us also shared the same thoughts about the chicken and service. They said they never got offered any refills, and that the greens were too sweet. Place looks nice, our server was nice, and the bread plate was the best thing they served.

A nice looking farmhouse style restaurant. Remember Juniper? This is still juniper with new signage. The menu is just all of the favorites from juniper. Gift and curse, you would think it means everything is going to be great... right? No, it gives the the chance to shortcut the food because everyone is going to order from the limited menu so the food takes a backseat. The food wasn't a wow the fries were overcooked, the chicken looks amazing but lacks a burst of flavor! Overall I'd say it will have you questioning was it worth the calories. Service was good, friendly yet fast talking. Kinda felt like drive through Service in a sit down restaurant. Not a ton of personality from the waiter.Overall it was decent but not a place I'd go back to.Really miss the Really small cute location they had years ago! It was much better!

Was stoked to finally come in for lunch - so glad we did. Both the spicy chicken sandwich and the fries were really amazing - arguably the best of it's kind in STL! Great service and friendly staff make for an awesome experience. Can't wait to return!!

Awesome food, great service, and relaxing atmosphere. I highly recommend this place. The food was exceptional. I had the wedge salad, with fried chicken. Hubby had the chicken fingers with fries. Simple lunch that was full of flavor. The chicken was juicy and crispy. Cooked perfectly! Highly recommend.

We ordered half bird spicy, bread basket, mac n cheese, collard greens, and some smokey catfish dip. First, chicken was absolutely amazing. 10/10. And mac n cheese, creamy and well cooked but maybe need little bit more of seasoning. Collard greens, good texture but it was bit sweet to me. Smokey catfish dip had very clean flavor. Overall, I will come back to try other things! Also our server, Seth was very attentive and kind!

Everything about this place was charming, especially our waiter Sam K. I just loved him. Although the menu isn’t as extensive as the ones in some of the other google reviews (the restaurant went through a rebrand recently), the items they did have were amazing, and we left feeling full and happy. Highly recommend!

Mostly great experience, couple little things.Had great service. Never had to ask for anything, always on top of it.Love the spot. Very bright, feels really open.I'm not an oyster person, but the people at the table said they were really good.Had the pimento cheese appetizer. The crackers were great, I think home made. The cheese was a little salty for my taste.Had the Sunday's Best spicy chicken sandwich for my main. It was really good. Maybe not as spicy as I had expected when ordering a spicy chicken sandwich, but was delicious.I swapped out fries for the street corn. That was sort of bland. Was not my favorite.Overall good experience. Will definitely go back and try some more.

I’ve been coming to Juniper for years solely for the fried chicken so when the restaurant transitioned to the poultry-centric “Sunday Best” I was ecstatic.Sure, the old menu was filled with gourmet delights that a copious amount of people enjoyed. I was not one of those people. I ONLY ever got the fried chicken. People with whom I dined ventured off the beaten path into the depths of gastronomic pleasantries but I remained stalwart.Sunday Best held true to the fried chicken I’ve grown to love at Juniper. One could even say there are slight improvements upon the old recipe. The chicken itself was cooked wonderfully. Juicy on the inside, crispity-crunchity on the outside. I particularly enjoyed the spicy version after trying both side-by-side. Seemingly a Nashville inspired hot oil.The strips were thick and delectable but the main attraction for me was the bone-in variety. I had the breast and wing. Both were fall-off-the-bone tender. Well seasoned and mouthwatering. 9.15/10 clucks. The sides were hit or miss. The bread plate was AMAZING. The cornbread was my favorite followed by the fluffy Cheez-Its. My friend got the mac and cheese and could only take a single bite of it. Just not their cup of tea. The cucumber tomato salad was good but the collard greens were too sweet. The fries were crispy and texturally magnificent but very slightly too salty. My biggest let down was the ranch. For years I had smuggled Wingstop ranch into Juniper to accompany my chicken. For whatever reason they just didn’t offer it back then. Now they have a buttermilk-dill ranch and let me tell you it should be called “dill sauce in the style of ranch”. Very overpowering dill notes and the texture is odd and lumpy. I reckon I’ll be going back to bringing the ol’ trusty Wingstop ranch with me on future visits.Overall I LOVED the chicken and the atmosphere. The Cheerwine was a tremendous surprise as well. I enjoyed the Cheerwine cocktail AND a bottle of the plain, unadulterated, soft drink with my meal. Both really hit the spot.First rate service and friendly staff. Very strongly recommend.

We really enjoyed visiting Juniper when we were visiting St. Louis in January. The vibes were nice and the food was amazing. I hope they reopen because we would definitely come back for future visits.

Juniper is a hidden gem. It comes across as very unassuming with semi casual seating but has bright and airy decor. The cocktails are very good. I've tried different ones and each time have been very satisfied. For food I got the hot chicken sandwich and it was delicious. My colleague got the scallops and I got to try them they were very tasty. For dessert we got the smores cake and it was yummy.I would highly recommend juniper. There is street parking right outside.

Was a great Date night pick. The atmosphere was new and vibrant. Well lit and upbeat feel. The food was excellent, large portions at a reasonable price. The service was great for a busy night. Not a long wait once our order was taken. Would definitely recommend to friends and family.
