Good valentine's day date had here. We reserved a table through Google and that process was easy. I will say if you are planning to do their Omakase special, you must reserve/order AT LEAST 1 DAY PRIOR. Next time we plan to go, we will definitely do so because it seems like a blast. Even though it was busy our food was ready in a timely manner. Be sure to let the waiters know if you need anything and they'll be right on it. We ended up getting a whole bunch of sushi and stayed till just before close because of how fast time flew by!

I really like the Atmosphere, it was calm. The food was great, with amazing flavour. I had Fried Rice plain this included rice, broccoli, eggs, and carrot. Food was 9.5/10 the serving size was small. The price I was fine with. $12. I will have it again. Lol. The sushi, 10/10. Flavour, serving size, and ingredients were fantastic.

Kampai is one of my all time favorite sushi bars. Quaint yet authentic. The menu options are robust. Great food, great service, incredible sushi masters. Kampai is one of my favorite places to eat. Incredibly fresh and very delicious. Don't miss the miso, especially the miso soup.

This place has the best sushi in St. Louis. It’s fresh and high quality, with a relaxing ambience and service. It’s hard to find a place that values quality and doesn’t just smother everything in spicy mayo to overcompensate.

I don’t know where these other mediocre reviews are coming from, but I’ve eaten regularly at virtually every sushi restaurant in the city, and this place is legit. The cuts are fresh as hell. It’s my go to for affordable nigiri/sashimi. If you want the fake stuff covered in spicy mayo, go somewhere else.

I ordered a St. Louis roll as a takeout today. I am so disappointed with the quantity of the roll, which has only 5 pieces. The size of the pieces varies (not professionally prepared). I would not recommend this place for sushi roll.

KAMPAI SUSHI is the Best in the st louis area. The fish is fresh, the service excellent and the window seating feels like a New York or Chicago setting. I live 40 minutes away and its worth the drive everytime!
