I was leary about trying Kay's out because it was almost lunch time. I took a chance and I'm so happy I did! I got the Lobster fried rice and garlic parm wings and fries. It was delicious! The rice was moist (the Lobster was a lil over cooked) but it was still good. The wings and fries were yummy! There was no wait when I arrived. Customer service was great, I waited maybe 25 minutes. It was worth the wait really happy I stopped by!

Wait time not worth it for the food. Crazy long wait.

Wait time is outrageous. We were the only customer and it took 30 minutes to make a Philly. It was good, but do not come here if you are on your lunch break, because you won’t make it back in time.

This was a first and last time. We called before going to place a order because we live 25 minutes away. We were told that we couldn't place an order over the phone and needed to come in. So we drove there and once there we were told there was an 1 1/2 hour wait on food. We decided to place and leave. This was such an inconvenience but I wanted to see what the hype was about and there was no offer to compensate us for this inconvenience . Almost three hours later we get our food and I was not impressed. I ordered the jerk chicken egg rolls and it tastes like it had nutmeg and it was really oily. The pasta was also very oily.

Food was excellent. I drove from O'Fallon, IL to check it out and it was great. Five stars for sure

I was excited to support this business but that immediately changed when I called to place an order and the worker who answered said they’re not taking over the phone orders and to order upon arrival (which is fine), but afterwards he said “got damn!” as if us calling was a problem. Never mind then!

worker got pissed off just for calling

it you don't live around the corner it's tuff yes. Kay's process is chaotic. they're too busy to take your call. if you're lucky enough to get an answer, they'll tell you to place your order when you arrive. once you arrive they tell you there's an hour and a half wait. if you don't live around the corner that's very inconvenient. I live 25 minutes away so that's the 2-hour commitment plus gas. if you choose not to wait in the very spacious eating area. it's a food court so it well lit and comfortable. no matter how good the food is AND "it was very tasty" BUT it's not worth a two hour commitment. i had to reheat the food when i got home. she needs help managing her business because it has to expand if she wants to survive.

Wait time was kinda long, but besides that, it's excellent. This is probably the most slept on food spot I've seen in St Louis: a must try ??

The food was so good. The wait didn’t even take as long as they suggested. Highly recommend you to try out Kay’s Kitchen at the Pagedale Commons.

I must say I was very disappointed with the food me and my boyfriend had. SMH! We happen to go on the day after the holidays so it was pretty busy which she reassured me that it would be a long wait! I’m use to waiting long periods of time at other establishments so I didn’t think nothing of it. But man the food tasted as if it was cooked in old grease! We both had the combination plates one w/chicken fried rice and jerk wings and a blue lemonade, and another combination plate with chicken fried rice and lemon pepper wings! First off I don’t know if it was a Cornish hen or a baby chicken but the wings were so small and didn’t taste like anything but old grease. The rice was ok but nothing to get excited about. I was very upset at the fact that I took an Uber all the way across town to dine in at this place and to have had this experience was a big let down. Not to mention I think for the two plates and two drinks it was close to $35 -$40 and for it to taste the way it did I actually was upset. Not sure what’s going on but according to the other reviews some people said the same thing about the taste of old grease!

The food at Kay's Kitchen gets all 10's across the board! My friend and I went here for lunch recently and the food here was super delicious and she has plenty to choose from on her menu. I chose the combination plate with jerk chicken fried rice and honey hot wings and my friend ordered a combination plate as well. Hers came with shrimp fried rice and parmesan wings and we also both got the blue drip to drink. Take notes folks...this is how fried rice is supposed to look! lol The food was freshly made to order and everything was cooked and seasoned to perfection. The combination plates also come with two spring rolls as well and when I tell you that we tore this food UP? There was nothing left but crumbs once we were done. lol I actually got to meet Kay when I was there and she is super sweet and hospitable. I most definitely will keep coming back.
