I ordered take out after reading decent reviews on Yelp. The stir fried veggie noodles with added tofu. Friendly service(pick up) and it was ready on time. But the food itself was very mediocre. Very basic (for the midwestern palate?) boring flavor, and the whole thing stunk like fish on opening the box, even though it had no fish in it! Gag! I heard later the Red /green currys are good, but it'll be a while before I'd want to try this place again

Great food! Kasey was very friendly, tried Tom Yum soup and green curry for dinner. If u like spicy let them know they make it taste with a good kick of spice. Definitely going bk!

Great portion size for the soups! Super rich meal with a just right coconut cream taste.

The food is fantastic! Service is good. Downside is parking. You need to be walking here from somewhere else.

Nice downtown location with quality service, settings and food presentation. Excellent Red Curry with tender sliced chicken and rice was included also enjoyed the crab puffs appetizer with sweet chili sauce. All-in a great place for Thai

Really enjoyed this Thai restaurant! The menu is simple and the food is amazing. The interior looks modern yet not overly fancy; this place is perfect for a work lunch or a nice dinner with friends. I ordered the Tom Yum soup and the panang curry with chicken. It was busy during lunch hour, so I don't blame them for bringing it out a little later. It was cold outside, and the door lets in a cold draft, but can't really fix that. But the food was DELICIOUS! Will definitely return.

This is probably the best authentic Thai restaurant in St Louis! I have been to Thailand many times, and the food offered in this restaurant is exactly what I had in real Thailand! Shrimp pai thai was well done, noodle was not too soft, shrimp was perfectly cooked, well balanced of juicy and tenderness, which I had difficulty to find in other place. Green curry was another solids choice if you are curry fans, well balancing of curry spice and milk!

The Hung Leh Curry caught me by surprise. Great flavors. It s one of those dishes it will be hard not to get stuck on ordering every time.

One of my favorite Thai restaurants ever. They offer a great menu, and a nice bar with beers and other alcoholic beverages. It's a great place for a date or just a quick meal. The employees are always great and the owner is great as well. I always get the Red Curry. It's amazing.

So happy I found Kiin Essentially Thai! I have been looking for another good Thai place ever since I found Fork and Stix, and have fallen short for nearly three years. Finally, I found an equivalent, in my book. We went to Kiin Essentially Thai on a Monday, when we have trouble finding other Thai places that were open. I don't usually go downtown for restaurants, but wanted to try something new, and I am glad I did! Their quality was great, and the flavors were so yummy. I always get Curry or Pad Thai, and the level of grease and tofu quality are what really make or break the meal. Here, all were on point! It was quiet, quaint, and had good service. Will definitely be back!

Outstanding - great little place I didn't even know existed. Tasty food and reasonable price.

Fast service with great thai. Their spring roles and crab bites make great appetizers and their peanut pad thai is sooo good.
