Omg! Kingside Diner is so amazing. My husband and I came for the Chicken and Waffles and the waffle iron quit on us! Welll all the staff, our waitress Steph, and the Manager only let us be disappointed for 2 seconds before they more than made up for the waffles. The manager Avery went above and beyond for us. We come here all the time and cannot wait to come back! Thank you all for your amazing service. It is so so appreciated!

I got the biscuit and gravy and a waffle. While the waffle wasn't as big as I hoped it was delicious. The spin they put on the biscuits and gravy was different (adding cheader cheese and chives) though i quite enjoyed it.
The staff was friendly and welcoming.
Overall I'd come back here in the future to try other dishes.

Well, after I took a bite of my waffle there were multiple hairs on my plate beneath the waffle. Quite disgusting and unacceptable. Then they tried to charge me for the meal! It took 2 conversations with the manager to get it resolved. I’m not the type of person to look for handouts by any means but to try to charge me anything after that was baffling to say the least. For your safety, I’d avoid it!

There was hair in the both plates of food. Servers weren’t surprised when we pointed out. Yet, they were kind enough to offer a remake the order. We asked for the check instead but they didn’t charge us for anything. Service and atmosphere were good, though I doubt if I will go back.

The manager Alexa is the definition of unprofessional. My husband and I had sat at the bar and had ordered drinks for our friends that were parking and walking in. They had arrived and were drinking their drinks and in the process of ordering their food when Alexa came up to them and told them they needed to get up and get put on the wait list. We explained to her that we already talked to the bartenders and they said it was fine if they sat here and ordered. She stood her ground and forced them to get up out of their seats while still drinking their drinks. Once they left there wasn’t even a wait so it was all for nothing. Regardless there was miscommunication with the staff and they should have took that on the chin instead of forcing paying customers that already ordered drinks and in the process of ordering food to get up out of their seats when they already had permission to sit there.
Wendy was our server/bartender and was extremely apologetic and very attentive to us. This was our first time there and had it not been for Wendy being so great we would not have returned. We also were helped by a black man, I did not get his man but he was a bartender and also very apologetic and gave us great service as well. The food was also good, however Alexa should not be in charge of anything in the front of house due to her lack of professionalism and her unapologetic rude attitude. I usually don’t leave reviews but Alexa deserves to get this poor review based on the poor experience she gave us. Do better Alexa.
