First visit and we’re in love! We were traveling from colorado to south carolina and I googled bakeries and coffee shops in STL and found Knead. The fact that their bread and pastries are sourdough is what made me want to go! Sourdough takes things to a whole other level in my mind…flavor wise plus it’s easier to digest.
The whole experience was impressive…cute place, delicious pastries (the pumpkin pie cruffin was my fav), friendly staff, and even got to meet the owner, Kirsten and her little girl!😍 Kirsten found out we were traveling and gave us a bag of butter and sea salt sourdough shortbread cookies to enjoy on the road. If you haven’t already tried these, please do. mmmmm—crunchy, buttery goodness!
Small family businesses like this are the funnest to support!🤍

We are visiting from Chicago and absolutely loved the cozy atmosphere and delicious food at Knead. We got to sit on the patio in the shade, loved the tasteful presentation of the food and the food itself. That sourdough cinnamon roll is the highlight of my dietary experience here. Next time I’m in STL I will have to stop by again. Kathryn is a friendly and delightful server!

Such a cute place! Got the iced Chai latte and cinnamon roll and both were delicious! The cinnamon roll is so soft and the chai had the right amount of flavor.

Bread is delicious! Tried the vanilla doughnut too, it was not for me. But definitely willing to try another pastry.

Kneadbakehouse. Let me just say this is THE best place in stl. But who makes it the best? Maddie. She is the first face you see when you walk in the door and the last one to send you on your way with amazing food and amazing customer service. She is down to earth and completely authentic. She remembers all her customers, even the ones who come once a month from the other side of the river.. me! Anytime I call Im greeted with her lovely voice and she ALWAYS goes out of her way to make things perfect. She deserves it all!!! Thank you Maddie, the reason I keep coming back <3

Knead Bakery is a fantastic family-run business and easily one of my favorite spots in St. Louis. Their sourdough everything is unmatched, and the seasonal donuts are something you’ll definitely want to try. Everything feels thoughtful and made with care. Highly recommend!

Food was ready for pickup as requested, the pancakes were tasty but on the small side and there was a wait when dining in .

My favorite places? Cafes or bakeries with really damn good bread, and food, and people. Was searching for a spot to grab breakfast and get on my laptop on the way to STL for a flight home. I couldn’t have been happier to have found Knead. Decent sized space with a lot of tables. The food was truly spectacular. So good in fact, that I ate my breakfast sandwich (pictured), worked for an hour while enjoying my coffee, and then proceeded to buy lunch (chicken salad sandwich and a cookie not pictured) for my flight, plus a bag of brioche buns to take home. It’s not near anywhere I’ll be the next time I’m in town for work, but I cannot wait to go back regardless. It’s worth it. Kudos to Knead for their sourdough and people (folks working were so kind!)

Charming Cuisine

I came here for the first time last week and got a loaf of sourdough and a cinnamon roll. Unfortunately the roll somehow was not completely cooked through, it was still doughy enough to almost knead! I called up the store to ask about it, if they just undercook the rolls a bit and it was somehow missed. The lady immediately apologized for my experience, found my order and instead of just refunding the roll, she refunded my entire order and let me know she’d speak to the bakery about it. I was very impressed with the level of service, they offered to make the fix immediately and apologized for the oversight. The bread is phenomenal, even after a few days it has yet to dry out just packaged in the bag I got it wrapped in (they offered to slice it for me but I did decline). I’m looking forward to trying some of their other items.
