My wife and I used to love Kohn's but our recent meal was one of the worst I've had at any restaurant. We both ordered the killer pastrami, one on rye and the other on wheat bread. In addition, we both ordered different sides, potato pancakes, and matzo ball soup. We've ordered this before a couple of years ago and thoroughly enjoyed it.Instead what we got today was two thin, flavorless pastrami sandwiches, both on rye bread. We each received nothing but slaw as sides, no potato pancakes, and the matzo ball soup was ice cold with no seasoning and tasted like canned green beans. I'm not sure if things have drastically changed under the new owners or what, but we will never go here again.

For hundreds of miles with no kosher food around stands kohns kosher deli. Like a flower in a desert, not only is kohns the only all kosher establishment in the vicinity but it provides superb services to the St. Louis community and areas surrounding it. With an expansive menu, excellent pricing and a five star Michelin chef you are slated for satisfaction.

Great corn, beef and pastrami, hot knishes, and everything else. not many places left in Creve Coeur or Chesterfield anymore. Best food try their kashi and shells

I have been a customer for many years and drove miles to purchase wonderful pastrami sandwiches. Was there 2 weeks ago, the store looked dirty, the sandwich was puny compared to what I was used too and service was sloooo. What happened to this store. I will wait one month and go again, if it is still poor, won't go there again. The sad part is, they are the only kosher Deli in St Louis.

orded on uber eats I ordered chopped liver, got message my order was ready. the order wasn't. this is the second time this has happeded, they did not have chopped liver and I got chicken salad instead, It was mostly egg salad and not very good. the new owners have not done a good job of keeping the quality of old owners. You can skip this place

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Khone's Delli in St. Louis, and I must say it was an incredible experience! The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, with a warm and welcoming staff. But what truly stole the show was the food - oh, the food! Their sandwiches were expertly crafted, with fresh and flavorful ingredients that left me craving more. The prices were also very reasonable, making it an excellent value. Overall, I highly recommend Khone's Delli to anyone looking for a delicious and satisfying meal in St. Louis.

I have been going to Kohn's Deli ever since 1995, and the food has always been delicious and consistent! I love the variety, the authenticity, and the people I get to meet when I go there. With almost 30 years of patronage under my belt, I can say that the service has always been phenomenal as well. I was sad to see Lennie and his family leave the business, but I guess there comes a time when we all have to begin a new chapter and turn the page. So very grateful that the new owners of the establishment have chosen to continue the tradition in such fine fashion. They had made subtle changes that were nice, but the food remains delicious and for that I am truly grateful. Such a wonderful tradition here in St Louis. Thank you Kohn's - we really appreciate you.

Not a bad place if you don’t mind an overpriced mediocre sandwich that takes over an hour to make.

WOW!! As a Jew, I NEED kosher, and let me just say, Kohns did not disappoint. The pastrami was so good! The staff is nice and helpful. They have a great selection of food, grocery, and bakery items. Thank you Kohns! I’ll be back!

I'm only reviewing the butcher shop.I boght a 6 lbs veal brest, Unfortunately the butcher did not advised that the cut of meat was expiring the next day.We had planned to use this for our Christmas dinner, and we had to throw the whole thing in the trash.Granted I should have checked, It would me nice to have the heads up on the expiration date from the butcher.

Although the pastrami was good the prices we paid for our kids to eat were ridiculous. We ordered them chicken nuggets and got charged $16 for a small basket for just dry flavorless chicken. When we asked about the price they said they charge by the pound which we never saw a weight and no way it was a pound. Then we had meals with our sandwiches which is said to come with a drink but then we proceeded to get charged for our drinks again. We basically got told there was nothing the person we talked to could do. Hard to find good pastrami in St. Louis but we won't go back here.

12/19/23 The worst pastrami I've ever had. It was overcooked (dry as cardboard) and tasted horrible. I' won't be back.

Horrible experience! I placed a carryout order for 10 ppl and it was never delivered, even though they charged me for it and confirmed the order twice. When I heard the order was never received I sent an email and never heard back from anyone. 10 days after the scheduled delivery date I called to follow up and ask for an explanation. All I got was a “we dropped the ball, sorry”, with no concern for the consequences of the order getting forgotten about. When I asked why they didn’t try to call me or respond to email, they simply said “we were going to”. They refunded me, but I would never want to do business with them again. This mistake caused great embarasssment and I barely got an apology.

I've been going here more than 40 years- the food is phenomenal but they now have a significant employee issue that will keep me away. They were recently purchased by new owners who let many of the old guard go. Today I went in and ordered 3 pounds of corn beef it's over $80 which is fine but I came to pick up my Shabbos food before a doctors appointment. I was first in line the new employee cutting my meat didn't know what she was doing but she was pleasant and tried her best but was extremely slow- that's Ok I'm willing to be patient for people to learn. What I was not OK with was the other employee who failed to make a kiddush Hashem - he stole the meat she was cutting for me while I was patiently waiting for another customer who was behind me in line- I called him out on it- I proceeded to say you aren't just stealing my meat you're stealing my time- did he apologize? NO he fabricated a lie and said well you asked for extra lean and I'm giving him everything else I proceeded to tell him NO I didn't and yet he gave me meat to another customer anyway. 40 years and I will not be back- they did eventually get one of the old guard to help the young woman who was trying her best- and I appreciated him. I appreciated his kind words and feel a little melancholy as I don't think I will choose to come back and interract with new staff.

We went for the first time while visiting St Louis. We shared the lox plate , matzo ball soup was a welcome from the cold damp day and purchased take out to enjoy in the hotel for later. Babaganoush & Tahini was delish! Yay! Jewish comfort food.
