My son and I had dinner at La Catrina, and it was delicious! This was my 1st time visiting. I really appreciate the quality of the food, the great service and fun atmosphere. Next time I'm in St. Louis, I'm coming back to La Catrina!

This Mexican restaurant is phenomenal! The service is consistently great. Their margaritas are super tasty. Plus, the food is really good. The draw in for me is the atmosphere. They play fun music, and the outdoor area is sort of romantic. There is a rooftop patio type of thing. When it's cold, they have heaters. It's just overall a fun little place. I can imagine sunbathing during lunch on the patio during the summer or stopping in for a bowl or soup in the winter. My only complaint is their parking lot is very small. You'll likely have to park on the street because the place seems to be very popular. I enjoyed it so much that I might become a regular. Go check it out!
Haven't been here in awhile but had a taste for Mexican. Chose to go to La Catrina and had ourselves a good meal. Tried a dish I've seen in the past but never got until this night. The only part of the dish that was interesting. Was the cactus, bland in flavor but an interesting add-on to the meal. The dish also came with refried beans, guacamole, lettuce, tomatoes and tortillas.

Take out service was horrible! Initially called to place an order, phone was answered and I was placed on hold for over 6 mins. Attempted to call back but no one answered, assuming the phone was still “on hold” from when called. Still went in to place an order to go. Ordered the la Catrina fajitas which comes with chicken, steak, chorizo and shrimp… mines had absolutely NO SHRIMP IN IT! Did not receive the “salad” that’s supposed to come with it (lettuce, pico, guac & sour cream), only received the rice and beans. Did not include salsa either. Also ordered a monster marg to go and it literally taste like marg mix with no tequila. This is my second time ordering take out from them and even the first time was horrible- nasty attitude from bartender that took order, did not take complete order and had that she was called out on it and tried to argue abt what was ordered- but I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt because the eat in customer service, food and drinks were good! Their take out service is horrendous and this last time has turned me completely off from them and this will be my last time dining with them, dine in or take out!
