Very disappointed with the food. The cheese sauce was very watery and salty. I had the fajita nachos; they were soggy and gave me heartburn. My daughter had the Camarones ala diabla. Her food was all combined together, the rice and beans should have been separated. It was a total mess.

The food is good, don’t get me wrong it can be better though. Overall what really made the dining experience memorable is the service, they staff are so friendly.

I give it 2 because the staff were sweet and had great customer service. The food was a let down though. As someone that’s lived in Dallas and always had access to amazing authentic tacos, I was looking forward to some authentic tacos on the beloved Cherokee but it just wasn’t that good. The tortilla was delicious and fresh. The sauces were not that great. The chicken was well cooked but not well seasoned — tasted more like the chicken made by the Chinese for fried rice. Good but not for the dish I wanted. The margaritas were a great size for the price but were MAD sweet. A hangover waiting to happen. My sister and her friend literally left a full glass after no more than 5 sips. It did taste like lots of sugar. And the water bottles served were $2, heads up. I expected my eyes to roll from deliciousness especially because there were other Mexicans eating but it was a sad let down. I got basic chick tacos, and had to ask for extra onions and cilantro to take it up more

We had the most delicious dining experience here yesterday. All five of us vote this restaurant the best Mexican food in the St. Louis area. Among the five of us, we had all the meats - chicken, steak, carnitas, and shrimp. They were high quality, fresh tasting, and cooked to perfection. The vegetables in our meals were also abundant and fresh. We also loved the three different salsas for dipping our chips. Most importantly, the service was also perfect: friendly, warm, and professional. That Mexican food you’re eating at what you think is your favorite restaurant close to home will never taste as good again after your trip here. This is now all of our new favorite Mexican food in STL! p.s. Get a margarita; they’re a treat as well!!

Some of the best tacos I’ve ever had. The meat is incredibly well marinated.

The food and service was wonderful. I gave the food 4 stars because my mixed fajita the steak had a few chewy bites that were inedible at times. The flavors and portions were great. Definitely has that authentic taste, service, and atmosphere. Would go again.

Pretty small place. Food was decent. Felt rushed to leave and a little awkward. Plus no air conditioning.

Quick stop in St Louis on our way home to Oklahoma. We were within walking distance of this restaurant. So good! Excellent food and very reasonable prices. Very friendly staff.

This is my wife and I 1st time due to reading the reviews. I ordered the chimichunga and my wife ordered the tilapia. We really enjoyed the food and the chef even came out to ask how was our food. It was great. Also try the cantaloupe water.

It's a very small restaurant, so keep that in mind while going during busy hours, but the food was incredible! The tacos were very authentic. Highly recommend!

Staff was very friendly and helpful in discussing the menu. I ordered the steak and Al pastor tacos- per recommendation of the server. They are made on homemade tortillas and were very delicious! I typically go to El Bronco or El Torito for tacos… but I will absolutely be back here for more and it might be my new favorite on the street.
