Tlayuda
The tlayuda, for instance, is both the name of the iconic dish from oaxaca and the hardened tortilla used to house a filling of refried black beans, asiento (unrefined pork lard), cabbage, meat, avocado, oaxaca cheese, and sauce. Meat options: asada, marinated pork in pineapple sauce (pastor), chorizo, marinated pork (cecina).
Fried Empanadas
Two handmade fried corn tortillas stuffed with oaxaca cheese or chicken, topped with refried black beans, cabbage, fresh cheese and salsa.

We tried this little gem yesterday and we're not disappointed. All 6 of us were so pleased with the food that came to our table. The service was wonderful and the portion sizes were HUGE. It was so very hard to decide what to order off of the Fairly unique menu. We will have to go back so that we can try more of the items that we did not get to order. If you have not tried this little restaurant, you really must!

Came here for lunch with my husband. I got the verde tamales and he got the chori pollo. His chorizo was great and not too greasy, chicken was fresh and the homemade corn tortillas were delicious. My tamales were the right amount of spicy, and the fresh mesa was fantastic. Complimentary chips and salsa were also really great! Will be coming back for sure

The tacos I had were really good. The salsa that comes with chios is standard tomato bases sauce. The spicey sauce that you can order as an appetizer is amazing!! The street tacos were great too. I had the cecina tacos and they were very good. The green salsa did not have much flavor, but I would definitely go here again to try more food.
