I found them to be rude and less than hospitable.
The owner's seem to struggle with consistency and kindness.
The husband appeared to be an angry sort of man that cared very little on those that heard him or have to encounter him.

This is my very first time of many here, first off let me say they are black owned, food-amazing, scene-phenomenal. I visited while on a date and ordered the Strawberry- Lavender Lemonade with a Turkey Club. Although they were out of mustard, I had nothing to worry about because the sandwich is just that good on it’s on. They have a variety of drinks to choose from or create. It’s like visiting your aunt where you can relax and be yourself. I will definitely be back!

The reviews had me come back for a second time (clearly the first time was a fluke; plain coffee no flavor in their specialty drink at all)
So I pull up excited to try a different drink (did their seasonal brown sugar blondie) and it legit tastes like water. Not coffee, no sugary syrups, just water. Asked if I could make it a little sweeter somehow. Really just wanting it to taste like anything close to a latte and she gave me attitude, added some vanilla syrup and now it tastes like vanilla water 👍🏼 ordered a hasbrown and it’s clearly just a frozen one thrown in the microwave…. very disappointing and makes me wonder who is making these reviews 🤨

After a long awaited construction, Lajoys said they opened back up on Tues, 3/18. I tried to go today, 3/22, at 10:45am. Their google page says open until noon, their door says open until 4pm. Doors were locked when I got there. Very heartbreaking because I really do enjoy this coffee shop. Please be more straightforward with your hours of operation. Thank you.

I used to go a lot and she would take our order. If she wasn’t super busy she would talk to my mom. She was always so kind. The food was amazing. The coffee was amazing. 10/10 would recommend.
