I can’t brag enough about the service & care the amazing staff took for me personally when I was visiting my mother from out of state in September 2022. I’m a STL ExPat & have been living in TX for last 30 years. I stayed in an AirBNB in South STL & called around Soulard for a very specific liquor - Jeff, the manager, checked thoroughly & while they didn’t have it he did take my # & got it the next day! While I never actually met this saint I did go multiple times & was served by 2 amazing bartenders - Calenna & Samantha & has such a blast reuniting w/ some HS friends & a very amazing teacher from the 80s! I will be back, twice a year at least- and I’ll most definitely be visiting. By the way, this is Kim Barnes w/ Gray Horse Saloon in San Marcos TX - same Google account as hubby

Stopped in to have a beer, good choice. We had a few local stouts and a porter. Our bartender couldn't have been more helpful, in picking beers to telling us places to visit. Ended up splitting the adult toasted cheese. Really cheesy, good fries. Great little place to relax!

I did not eat here, however, I was able to sample their myriad of beers. Very low key place to get a beer on a Friday afternoon. I drank just about every combination of half Guinness products you can and the bartender was accommodating. I did enjoy the atmosphere as well. It was a good, warm

I ordered some easy fried food to go on a Tuesday night. (Chicken strips, boneless wings, etc and the famous White Chicken Chili.) I spent nearly $10.00 for a bowl of chili. What I got was cold, mashed, and what seems to be old food in a to go container. Absolutely disgusting. Pathetic that something would sell something that looks like mashed potatoes as Chili. Extremely disappointed.

The best part of our experience was our waitress India. Top notch, and treated my whole family like they were the most important thing she had going on, and they were swamped!! Thank you India!

Stopped in on a rainy Sunday afternoon. I had been craving fish and chips, and Llywelyn's is near Protagonist Cafe, which is one of my favorites. Now I have two favorites on the same street! The fish and chips come with either potato chips or fries, and you can choose shoestring or pub fries. I got pub fries, of course, but will try the others another day.The waitress was very kind and helpful in choosing what to order. She checked on me two or three times during the meal and seemed genuinely interested if I was enjoying my meal, even though she had much larger tables. The batter on the fish is *incomparable.* Seriously, just go try it. The tartar sauce was a little sweet for me. I tried to doctor it up with malt vinegar and lemon, but wound up enjoying the malt vinegar and lemon more on the fish. Tastes differ, and I guess I like a really tart fish and chips. The restroom was very clean, especially for a place popular with college students. I really enjoyed Llywelyn's and will likely return.

We went here for happy hour and we’re very pleased with drinks food and service. The food was a great price and we were so hungry I forgot to take pictures of it. We had the fried fish sliders, pretzel bites and Buffalo chicken flatbread and the clear winner was the fried fish sliders.

PATTI PALOOZA was perfect! We ended our bar crawl with a group dinner at Soulard's Dragon's Den. Melissa was instrumental in coordinating our event, the food was delish and our bartender Sam was just as awesome! Highly recommend! ?

Very busy night because Cardinals game and the manager was working very hard to make sure we got our food and drinks so that we can make the game. I cannot recommend this place more.

This place pre-covid was amazing! And I'm not changing my star rating but the customer service and the patio needs to be taken care of and updates across the property would be a nice addition.

Great spot for a few drinks and a bite. Food is decent. Soda doesn't seem well balanced (Diet Coke I had today was way too sweet).

We have come several times to this place for the last 7 or 8 years.. loved it Last nite brought friends here after Card Cub game.. it was not busy.. One waitress.. we ordered.. took over an hour and 45 min for food.. shepherds pie was not good.. always good on the past.. ashamed we brought friends here and we will not be back.. food was decent for our friends but NOT worth the wait..embarrassment to bring them here... Won't be back

I'm doing a review on this restaurant based on my experience over. Across the street on main Street St Charles. I got to know a lot of the staff and the bartenders however was taken aback a little bit today. The new front of the house manager Richard was brought into my situation because the prices on happy hour were raised. It clearly states housewives $4. They had a price increase but as I ordered no one told me the prices were increased until I got my final bill. I asked the question to the bartender who was extremely nice he took it to Richard the new manager. Came out to talk to me and to say he has no control over whether prices are raised. Happy hour is stated at a certain price $4 for house wine you should be charged $4 for housewife. Clearly printed on their website.. I always leave a tip however I was taken back a little bit by this situation. The new bar manager had to squabble over a dollar.. the price of the regular wine increase at the well which I understand. The staff at this restaurant has always been very kind for the most part.. the question whether this new manager Richard fits into the dynamic of the staff.

The service staff and food is great, the mini fish sandwiches are perfect for two people to share or as a meal by itself. I will definitely be coming back.

Loud as you would expect. Food was really good. They were short staffed, but the staff we interacted with was exceptional.
