The food and service are mediocre at best, but it’s one of the few places to eat downtown, so there you go.

They didn't bother removing the membrane off the ribs, which were extremely tough and hard to eat. The ribs were extremely smoky as well. You could also tell the carrots in the Shepherd's pie were frozen. The Shepherd's pie was made with beef, making it a Cottage Pie, not a true shepherd's. It was advertised with beef, but you would expect an Irish place to have a good Shepherd's pie. The food was lackluster, but the service and atmosphere were warm.

The service wasn't great. There was something in the bottom of my drink glass. When I pointed it out to the server she didn't even acknowledge it or apologize. The food was very bland, they definitely need to explore what seasonings are. The ambiance in not really very "Irish pub" but more of a thrown together bar with a shamrock here and there. I wouldn't return or recommend.

Although the Shepherds Pie was actually Cottage Pie, it was delicious. The battered chicken tenders were the best I have ever had - and consistent over several different days.Service was outstanding - the staff, even when busy, made sure you were taken care of.

Service was great, and the food was fine, but the cornmeal breading on the fish was weird.

Place was SLAMMED, and I was still able to saddle up to the bar and get taken care of in the absolute proper way. Jessica was the bartender of the year that night. Thank you Maggie O'Briens for putting the right people in right positions.

I ordered the Shepherds pie and it was decent, but the rest of our food was mediocre at best, not a lot of flavor and overpriced, but I will say that the presentation was done well. Service was absolutely terrible and we couldn't find our server for the longest time so I ended up having to ask someone else for a refill for our son's drink and she acted annoyed by it. We waited a good 20 minutes for the check and boxes as well. Not the kind of service I'm looking for in a place that's supposed to be a family friendly establishment.

If I could give my review 0 stars I would. We came in before a rush. When we were seated (10 top) there were maybe 2-3 tables seated. Our service was terrible from the start. One of our guests ordered a drink and the server wasn’t familiar with it, which is fine. She rolled her eyes and told us she would ask the bar. Another server came to clarify and was very kind. Once drinks were ordered, we waited a good 20 minutes + for her to come back and take our food order. As we’re waiting for the food, drinks are empty and our server is no where in sight. One of our guests approached the bar and asked if we could get drink refills. The bartender went back to the kitchen and within 2 minutes our food came out - mostly cold or soggy from clearly sitting there. The bartender came up to our table as the server was passing out food and he attempted to take our drink orders. The server told him not to take our order that she would get it then looked directly at us and said “you need to wait”. We complained to the manager who offered to comp some drinks. We weren’t looking for compensation, just an apology for the poor service. The manager was also very dismissive when we tried to have a conversation about the situation. While I understand our server was under a lot of pressure as the restaurant rapidly filled up shortly after we arrived, I did not appreciate her continuous attitude towards us after we voiced our concerns. The manager was not consistent in how he comp’d drinks. Some checks did not have anything taken off. As we were packing up to leave, the bartender looked at us and said “thank you for coming, we’re glad you’re leaving”. The server then set our checks on the table and walked away. She didn’t ask if we needed boxes and it took us approaching her once again for us to be able to pay and leave. I’m truly appalled. I’ve never not tipped someone, but this server deserved $0. The facility as a whole needs to develop a better culture and train on the concept of gracious customer service. I’m a Supervisor in Customer Service and am having a hard time understanding how we could be treated so poorly. I was a first time visitor and it will be my last. My advice, hear your customers out and take their concerns into consideration. Be empathetic. Having a very obvious and deliberante attitude towards an already escalated customer is not the approach anyone should take in the SERVICE industry.
