I really wanted to like this place. I talked about it and my co-workers got me a gift card for my bday.
The service was great! Scott was my server. However the food left me disappointed. The biscuits were hard and overcooked. The sausage tasted weird tasted more like sausage I would find on a pizza not breakfast pork sausage. The breakfast potatoes were decent but had about half of my order was the red skin. The ham is tender and tasty, the bacon is thick and cooked perfectly, and the grits are creamy. The eggs are made to order, and the greens are amazing. The potatoes are great and original, not precut from a bag. The service is friendly and attentive, and the drinks are super tasty. Hush puppies with horseradish dipping sauce and Sandwich #4 are also highlights. Mama 2's Biscuits is a beloved neighborhood spot for a satisfying breakfast or brunch. The space is nice and huge, so there is hardly ever a wait. The food is very consistent, and everything is delicious. They have excellent brunch options, and all of the biscuit sandwiches are excellent. Mama 2's offers catfish and braised collard greens. The gravy is where it's at, so make sure whatever you get has it. The biscuit flight is more than enough as a stand alone meal, you choose 3 gravies with mushroom and sausage being the best.
