Surprisingly good Mexican lunch. I had planned to take a coworker and a customer to Vernon's for some bbq but it was a Monday and they were closed. Looked across the street and spotted this place.
I would generally go 3-stars for your average Americanized Mexican food joint but the dish I had was really more in the 4-star range. I went with the grilled tilapia and it really impressed me. I liked the level of seasoning on what can be a bland piece of fish. I really enjoyed the sear imparted on the flattop and I thought it was great to have a relatively healthy option in a sea of really fattening food. I also enjoyed the steamed vegetables and dredging them around the plate to pick up some of the queso that came on the fish elevated them to a level you cannot achieve with steamed vegetables unless you also have a cheese product available.

Mi Ranchito is in a small strip mall a couple of blocks off Delmar in University City. It is a nicely decorated place with plenty of parking. I was there in a party of 13 friends on a Wednesday. It was fairly busy but our service was very good. There is ample selections on the menu and our group had a variety. Food was good and prices were reasonable.

My favorite local Mexican restaurant. The food is always hot and fresh. Haven’t had to wait for a table ever. Great service regardless of time I go in the day. Highly recommend.

The service was top notch Every server greeted with politeness and positive energy walking through the door before seating The food was really amazing definitely will recommend to my friends for lunch and dinner anytime Drinks are top notch compared to most restaurants Margaritas are the best in the city my girlfriend loved them Atmosphere was wonderful Nice paintings on the wall kitchen smells good customers respectful and enjoying their meals and time I would definitely recommend this place for Mexican food drinks and atmosphere lovers 💯💪🏽
