Michael's Bar & Grill

First time at Michael’s. Randomly chosen after searching “restaurants in Clayton and Brentwood good for families”. Excellent food, service, energy. The staff smiled, engaged with not only us but our kids, the food was stellar…not the typical overpriced reheated frozen entrees.

Excellent all around. We will be back and we will tell others.

We were there with a group of 10. I cannot say enough about the service period our server. She was on time with everything. She pointed out some menu favorites to our party. I had the mushrooms as an appetizer i had the chicken over rice pilaf as the entree. The chicken was amazing with the herbs and the spices. I would definitely recommend going there again. My only concern is the noise leve. With our large group it was hard to carry on the conversation. Other than that, a wonderful place to eat.

The food was great. Top tier. Everything was hot and fresh. The chicken kabobs were grilled perfectly. I ordered a regular gyro and it was so tender and their tzatziki was some of the best I’ve personally had. The only thing that wasn’t top tier was the service. It wasn’t bad, our waitress just wasn’t very attentive.

This place is like that busy high class friend you might have. You don't see them often but you enjoy them so much you keep making time for them whenever you can. My fiance introduced me to this spot and I immediately loved it. It's a casual bar and grill but it's classy and just right...Not modernized and not a hole in the wall. The vibe is really good. The staff is always great. The food... If you know you know. This is hands down the best spot for trashed wings. There are not a lot of places that do trashed wings. Even if they do them are they done right? I have had several things here besides the wings and it's all delicious. Fresh and just delicious. Which is part of what makes this place wonderful. It is not the typical everythings fried on the menu. Really since I've been introduced to this place I've had to come back again and again. Michael's is very inviting. They have it tastefully decorated during the holidays and there is a fireplace and in the evening dim lighting. A bit romantic but also great for something casual. The best of both worlds. I definitely recommend it!

I had the crab cakes and fries. Both were good and satisfying. I prefer a lumpy crab cake, but this restaurant has more of a Greek focus so the cakes were flattened more than a lump crab cake; still good. Fries were particularly good. Lemon drop martini was nice!

Service was very good. Our server was attentive and on top of things.

Atmosphere is that of a neighborhood restaurant. Noise level elevated due to a full house. Mediterranean decor vibes.

unfortunately, an elderly couple with canes also upset your visit..regrettable for sure.
I happen to know this couple...
why you assume that people that sit at the bar are drunks is unfortunate.

My elderly pals sit there to meet fun people that don't make assumptions...or judgements...
you should try it sometime!!

Finally, want you to know that our friend fainted from a major drop in blood pressure...in doing that, she took down her husband .. and two chairs.
Facts...and kind people made the visit not humiliating

Don't worry ...we will never disrupt the lunch you were so critical about.

Three of us got the gyro and my daughter got the Michael burger. The gyro with fries is $12.99 which is a good price.

The waitress said that the feta cheese was optional but free and said the same thing about the American cheese on my daughter's burger. That was not correct. We got charged about a dollar for each cheese.

And she charged us for four gyros instead of three.

Other than that, it was an enjoyable meal. I would like to give it a 4.5 rating.
