Great food and atmosphere!
Fabulous lobster 🦞 tacos!!.
Great service, walkable neighborhood
My DoorDash order was stolen by the driver and they replaced my order completely for free. Even gave me a free drink while waiting. That’s how you get a frequent customer 👊🏾. Thank you.
Ordered food from the nearby ITap at the table from the app and it never showed up. Went to check on the order and it was sitting there at the bar getting cold with servers standing around the bar chatting. The new birrea tacos were nothing like any birrea taco I've had. Aside from being cold, there was no consume for dipping. They were lifeless tacos. The other tacos were just OK. Would possibly have been better warm. Doesn't deserve the 4.5 Google rating.
Sorry for existing at the bar tonight. Love this place and love the food, but as a bartender in a previous life, slamming my margarita on the bar because you are slammed and short staffed does not give you the right to treat me like that. Shame on Session Taco.
Pretty good experience. I was at work, so I couldn't have a drink, but the food was pretty tasty. I ordered the birria tacos. The tacos were flavorful and the meat was tender and juicy. Pickled onions were a good compliment. The consume was more like a mole, but not as thick. Not the typical taste of consume, but it wasn't bad at all. The service was really good. Justin was attentive and made sure I was good. My ooonnnnllllyyy gripe is the lack of crunch with the tacos, which you're not really going to get with a corn tortilla. I love crunch and cheesy cheese pull. It's ok though. Food was still good. Beans were ok. I prefer black beans, but the pintos were flavorful.
Came in randomly today for a mid day lunch! I have ate here several times. The food is always delicious. My eyes typically are much bigger than my stomach so I had a good amount of leftovers. Kyle was our bartender. He made the best margaritas and handled the small that came in shortly after us with ease. He definitely set up a fun vibe, made sure our visit was everything we hoped for! cheers!
Nikki was great!
Delicous flautas - love their sauce. The guac was a little salty but the chicken fajitas quesadillas are a must.

The atmosphere of the bar was AWESOME. Everyone was very friendly including our waitress.
So why 2 stars? It was the quality of the food. For started we ordered the Queso dip with Chorizo. That was fantastic delicious. Our drinks arrived they were nice and strong.
When our main courses came out we were ready to dig in. From the website I really wanted to try the Chile Crusted Fries and they are just normal fries sprinkled with something, not what I imagine when you say crusted. The Bacon wrapped hotdog. My whole plate was cold fries even bacon around hotdog had cooled down. So more than likely my plate sat for awhile before being delivered.
Then I decided to move on from my main course because we ordered some Tacos as well. Have to try some of them. The beef tacos meat was so BLAND. It was like no seasoning was added at all. I did not finish a majority of the food I ordered.
The drinks and the vibe were the Star attraction for this visit.

Only "mild" hot sauce?
Great atmosphere and margaritas. However, the food just lacked the flavor or spice of Mexico. None of our salsa or guacamole would even classify as mild flavor one could expect from a few dashes of even black pepper.
Our fajita quesadilla tastes like it was tamed for a bland Midwestern palette that can't tolerate black pepper. We tried adding the "hot" sauce provided on the table, but guess what. I could only go from bland to mild. 🤣🤣🤣
Why? Well, the "hot sauce" on the table is mild. 🤦♂️🤦♂️
Our waitress never brought us the hot sauce we requested, but I doubt they had any.
I wouldn't choose this place for Mexican food, but might stop for a margarita.

Went here with my family after a night out about 45 minutes until this place closed on a Saturday, but still had great experience. Our waitress, Jocelyn, was very sweet and prompt with our appetizers and drinks. We got the guac (which is always good), the street corn dip (our #1 favorite), and a plate of nachos of which we asked for some modifications and they definitely did not disappoint especially with portions. We left perfectly satisfied with still 10 minutes to spare. Always love coming here!
