Nice place! Very good beer selection. Old fashioned had a bit too much citrus. Likely heavy on the bitters. Pizza was very good. Nice outdoor area as well.

"Modern Brewery" offers the perfect retreat on a chilly evening with its laid-back ambiance and buzzing atmosphere. As soon as you step inside, you're greeted by the inviting vibes that make it an ideal spot for a binge-worthy night out. The traditional chicken wings were a hit, bursting with flavor that left my taste buds craving more, despite my already full stomach. However, the real star of the show was the farm pizza – an aromatic delight that had everyone around peeking at our table with envy.While the food was exceptional, the seating situation left something to be desired. The lack of designated seating meant a bit of a waiting game, as we had to hover until a spot freed up. Yet, once settled, the vibrant atmosphere and tantalizing aromas made it all worth it. Overall, Modern Brewery is a must-visit for anyone seeking delicious bites and chill vibes, just be prepared to stake your claim on a seat!

Start with the beer: Across the board great. Hazy faves are Choice Nuggs and Party Supplies and they have a wide tasty range besides. Cocktails are great, too, but the beer is the draw for me. Pizza is among the best in town and so are the wings.

Stopped by based on reviews I had seen. The food we had was very good. The pizza bread and buffalo wings were excellent. I had a piece of pizza and it was very good and my GF had a bowl of French onion soup. We definitely weren't disappointed in the food.Unfortunately the beer wasn't my cup of tea as it was heavy on the IPA side and the pilsners were a little hoppy for my taste too, but I know a lot of others that like that. We did have a sour that we did enjoy. It can also take a while to get a pizza when there is a crowd while our other food came out fairly quickly.The service was very good.

Out enjoying beautiful mid 70’s weather in the Lou. Popped into Modern Brewery. They always have a bourbon barreled aged beer. This time it wasn’t on tap, had to settle out of the can. Nonetheless Mornin’ Mornin’ didn’t disappoint and to make it even better they did pour it up in a fancy glass. My hubs enjoyed their Oops! All Motueka. We did order some snacks to sop up our beer. My old faithful is the pepperoni pizza bread - delicious every time!! We also got the bacon cheese fries. They were okay. The fries on their own tasty. And who can be mad at bacon. The cheese however, was very lacking. In taste and oddly - texture. It was grainy and bland. Overall we loved sitting out on their newly added patio and enjoying the day. Cheers!! Make sure you come on by and check them out!!

Great beer and cocktail selectio . But man their food, it's something else. The Cajun oysters and parmesan oysters were scrumptious. Ruben was one of the best in town (top 2). And my shrimp and gritz were the best in town, the best!
